My son received a pair of boots for Christmas and when we put the boots on my son he started crying. I assumed that it was because this was his first pair of boots, but when we looked closer we realized that a sharp staple was poking him from inside the boots. There was little drops of blood on the inside of the boots. My husband and father-in-law immediately called the store and was informed that "It was likely due to manufacturer defect and that the general manager would be in on Wednesday." My husband also emailed the boot manufacturer. On Wednesday, when my husband went to the store the only response he received was that the store was sorry for the defect, but when the size of the original boots was not available and another pair was selected my husband had to pay the difference in price. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received. I have no intention of ever purchasing another item from this store and am going to advise everyone that I know to do the same.
The customer that had the terrible time with Preslar's must of just caught them at the wrong time. I have been a customer for over 10 years. They will always try and help you with any type of problems. The hat for $75.00 must be one of those novelty hats. All of my Stetson hats are well over $125.00. I know that if I leave one of my stetson in the truck in my hat rack the brim will lose some of its shape. I bet one of those cheaper hats will probabily have its brim hang all crooked. Two years ago I bought stetson for my nephew at Christmas. They told me that I had 30 days after Christmas to have him go in a shape the way he wanted it. After that he waould have to pay to have shaped and cleaned. The best thing about Preslar's is all the boots they have and if you find the on line or some where else they will be glad and get them in for you. We all know the Cowboy boots always fit different. I wear a size 10.5 to 11.5 and I always buy the same brand,Dan Post. Preslars are a little pricey. But the service and knowledge is hard to beat. Maybe now since i gave them such a good review they will give me deal. Just kidding. If you are need help ask for Denise she is the manager and has always treated me fair
Preslars rude very uncustomer friendly – We purchased a cowboy hat that was $73.00 with tax on Dec.15th for christmas for our son.Was told by the helpful sales assistant that if we had any problems bring it back they would exchange it etc.The young man shaped the front of the brim downward.We paid for it left.Placed hat carefully in back seat of car.Came home put it in the top of a closet in a bedroom that is not used.The hat was not taken out of the closet or disturbed .When we gave the cowboy hat to our son on christmas day one side of brim was higher than other.My son phoned Preslars tues.Dec.27 telling him he needed to bring hat back to shape it and he was told there would be a $20.00 charge and he would have to leave it for 3 days.He phoned me telling me of the way the woman(she said she was the manager) was rude to him when he was trying to explain the hat had not been worn etc.I phoned Preslars spoke to this very rude woman.Who asked my name and hung p on me after telling me it would be $20.00 to rehape period.She alled me back(caller I.D).Said she could not find my name in their computer where I had purchased the hat.I told her my husbands name then she proceeded to find it.She said it was shaped by our salesman to our satisfaction so they would not do it again unless we paid $20.00.I told her he bent the front down to our satisfaction but we couldnt even see the sides because he was holding it by the sides.She said that was our "problem".She said we messed it up when we put it in our car!!!No we did not.Lousy attitude,rude and what happened to customer service.I told her we would no longer make purchases at Preslars.She then informed me that we had never made purchases there before so she did not care.Then she hung up on me.We have made many purchases there but never again.Stay away from Preslars Western Shop if you expect to be treated like a customer instead of like a liar who deserves no respect and no satifaction.I mean,really $20.00 for a hat that was shaped lopsided by a sales rep.when this so called mgr told me they only shaped hats when they had a certain person that came in at certain times to shape the hats and they kept the hats 3 days to make sure he got to them all.Seems this mgr. needs a job where she has no contact with people she certainly doesnt care about whats right or wrong or about customer satisfaction.Stay away fron Preslars,,,,,be aware .
