Tow Happy! – DO NOT GO HERE! I eat at What-A-Burger often in other places and today I parked my car walked down the street, was gone 20 minutes and my car got towed by Bubba's Towing! My friends and I will never go back, this is just silly, I can understand a few hours or over night but not even an hour!? At 9am your not that busy!

BUBBA'S TOWING AND WHAT-A-BURGER I CONCORD WORK TOGETHER! Bubba told me that he tows often and if you are not in your car... POOF! Who would want to risk this!?! DONT GO THERE!

Good food good people – I am an employ at what-a-burger and I'm sorry to say Johnson59 that your friend is an IDIOT. I can assure you that we do NOT and would NOT ever dream of doing the things you say your "friend" says is done to the food there. Sounds to me like you are one of the unfortunate people that chose to ignore the "customer only" parking signs, and had your car towed, and this is your feeble attempt at revenge.

Katie wrong chain....but it's a Piedmont Legend – What-A-Burger, a South Piedmont NC legend since the '50's. Eb Bost founded this legendary chain in Concord, NC in the 1950's. They are legendary for their 6 inch burgers. Mr. Bost had to have a bakery bake special buns for him when he started. At the height of this local chain's history there were numerous locations thru-out the South Piedmont of North Carolina. Locations were in Kannapolis, Concord, Mooresville, Mt. Pleasant, Albemarle and Harrisburg.

The signature items at What-A-Burger are the What A Burger, What A Cheeseburger, Dbl. What A Cheeseburger, What A Salisbury, and the What A Ranch. What-A-Burger is also famous for it's Cherry Lemon Sundrop and Witchdoctor's (originally called a Suicide). Sundrop introduced it's Cherry Lemon Sundrop in a bottle in the '90's rumoredly due to the popularity of the the "WAB's" Cherry Lemon's....

Currently What_A-Burger is still in Kannapolis (N. Cannon Blvd. and S. Main St. ), Concord, (S. Church St. and Old Charlotte Rd), Mt. Pleasant and Mooresville. Three locations still maintain their original and true drive-in status with small dining rooms and gigantic shedded pull-in complete with menu and speaker/ microphone podiums (Kannapolis and Mooresville).

Although I no longer live anywhere close to be able to enjoy a Dbl. What-A-Cheese w/ LTMO, lrg. half n half (half fries/ half onion rings) and a lrg Cherry Lemon Sundrop I do religiously make a visit or three when I come home to visit from NYC.

If your ever in the area, stop in and give it a try, you won't regret it!

What-A-Burger - Heffernan's "review" is incorrect – Katie you mixed up What-A-Burger the chain with What-A-Burger the regional restaurant that is located at 34 Church Street in Concord (other locations are Kannapolis and Mooresville).

What-A-Burger on Church Street does not serve tacos, a 5 inch buger on a 5 inch bun and their moto isn't "Just like you like it". They do however make a mean Cherry Lemon Sundrop and their Sweet Tea with Pebble Ice is the best in the County.

DON'T EAT HERE!! – I have a friend that works at the What-A-Burger at this location and he tells me that he and his friends do disgusting things to the food everyday after closing. According to him, they all mix their bodily fluids in with the food. If you value your health, DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT!!!!

Family-friendly hamburger chain with fair prices, accommodating services and 1950s flair. – In Short
This chain restaurant's orange-and-white A-frame buildings dot the Southern coast, from Florida to Arizona. What's made Whataburger grow since its first burger stand opened in 1950 is its commitment to custom orders--the restaurant is happy to fill special requests, as promised in the motto "Just as you like it." The signature five-inch patties and buns--an inch larger than most other chains--have also hooked loyalists to their burgers and chicken sandwiches.
