DISHONEST, RUDE, AND INSULTING! I wish I had read the google reviews before I hired The Power Outlet! A tech came to the house to service our generator. He neglected to tell me that the hourly fee starts when the tech leaves the office - so if you hire, you better live close to their office! The tech could not find the electrical box and searched for two hours instead of asking me where it was. He then went back to the office to call the factory and charged us for the time he was on the phone. All he had to do was ask my husband or I where the box was- that simple- in the garage in plain sight! The tech came back out (again charged for the 22 minute drive time there and back) and serviced the machine. Total hours spent on the job- ONE HOUR. Total hours charged- FOUR HOURS. PLUS a $90 service call fee, $14.95 for a filter (WHEN THE TECH EVEN TOLD ME HE DID NOT CHANGE IT BECAUSE IT WAS NEW), $10 ENVIRONMENTAL FEE, AND $5.85 FOR 3 AA BATTERIES). So for a basic yearly tune-up- I WAS CHARGED $499.29. When I called to complain and explain the situation, James told me that I "was what was wrong with this world." He made a comment as to the high price of my home and how I did not want to pay for a basic service. He was insulting and threaten to sue me if I did not pay his tech that was waiting outside. This is a DISHONEST company- BEWARE!
Never had bad service from Power outlet. Buy all my stuff from these guys and any trouble I may have they fix it. Looking at some of these review tend me to believe some people think everything should be dropped just for them. This is a busy place they fix all the commercial lawn service mowers I see them there all the time. I believe most homeowners should have service done in the off season instead of waiting mid summer and the last second to have it looked at, Then want it right now. I'm sure some people might have not liked the service since no company will ever make 100% happy but in my book their the best out there.
If you want to waste A LOT of your time , please take your stuff here to be fixed. They will tell you 7-10 business days and 5 weeks later when you call them they will tell you that they are fixing it right now. Too bad the part they are fixing is the wrong part. when you go up there to talk to them because they put you on hold and never came back, they try to make it sound like what you brought in is NOT on the top of their list to be fixed. Should have told me that 5 weeks ago. Call to get a phone# for whoever is over all the stores and got put on hold again on never came back. This is how they do business, I read the reviews for this store and all of them said they same thing that happened to us. Guess I should have read the reviews first. So save yourself some time and money and PLEASE take your business somewhere else. So wish I had:(

They charge 39.00 up front to troubleshoot and give an estimate.
When they called with the estimate I was lead to believe that the 39 bucks would be deducted from the cost of the fix. Maybe I wasn't listening.
A carb on a weedwhacker 110 dollars? You could buy a new one for that. The machine runs well. I'll give them that but they are way too expensive to fix small machines.

Total Rip Off! – Failed to call me back with an estimate for work. Estimate given was off by $500, when the total was supposed to be between $700-800. Poor customer skills, excuses rather than solutions. Wish I had never sent my equipment to them. Warning to you, friends! No stars for this company.
Terrible place - awful customer service – Even one star is too many for them. We brought our riding lawnmower here for them to check the belt and sharpen the blades, if they needed it. They didn't listen to what my husband asked them to do, ignored his request and charged $200 for an oil change, a spark plug (after he told them he had just changed the oil and replaced the plug), charged a nearly brand new battery and put NEW blades on it. WTF? My husband asked them to have the man who wrote up the ticket give him a call. He never called, 2 weeks went by. When my husband went back to see him, all he offered was to "find some used oil and a used spark plug to put back in it. No apologies, nothing. Their customer service is non-existent and I would never, ever take anything to them again. They are nothing but a bunch of rip off artists. Idiots.
Best in Mooresville. – They diagnosed my tractor issue (difficult) and only sold me the repair I needed and not one I didn't. Honest people with a great knowledge base. They can't fix everything that comes in though. With more and more product being produced under licence in China, these guys find it difficult to replace parts they can't get. Understanding that, I think they're the best in Mooresville!
Whenever we want – I brought my lawnmower in to be looked at and get an estimate. They were more than happy to take it. Now three weeks later I have not heard from them. I called and they said that they woudl "expidite" the order. Four days later I have not heard from them and I call again being told that they are with customers and would have to call back. 3 hours later 30 minutes befoer they close, I still have not heard from them. I guess they don't care about their customers.
Horrible Customer service. – Horrible customer service. They are an authorized dealer of the manufacture of pressure washer I have, a simple screw broke, and they told me that they could not fix it. Don't bother going for service. They even told me they could fix it over the phone, and made me waste gas money to go over just to find out they did not have the knowledge to fix it.
