Won't Be Going Back – Took a Victorinox chronograph watch in for a new battery. When I picked it up, I noticed the chronograph was running, weird, but whatever... I reset it, but the hands lined up about 3 seconds to the left of 12 o'clock. I pointed this out to the staff and they conferred on it.

They said the chronograph indeed was not working correctly and said I could send it in, or just not use the chronograph.

I've got a few problems with this:

1. Everything worked fine before the battery ran out. What happened to make the chronograph not work?

2. Why am I discovering the issue? Wouldn't the repair "technician" check the watch operation after replacing the battery? Why would the "technician" leave it in chronograph mode after replacing the battery.

3. Don't use the chronograph... Really? That's a "solution"?

Another bonus, there's a nice, new scratch on the bezel.

I know... I should have pushed for them to make it right, but I didn't have the time to hassle with it.

I expect more from a "professional" jeweler. I bought an expensive diamond piece for my wife at Graham a few months back and thought I found a new neighborhood jeweler. That's NOT the case.

Best sevice in the world – I am a guy in my 20's so when I decided I was going to ask my beautiful girlfriend to marry me I realized I had no idea what went into buying an engagement ring. I had always heard the catchy advertisements on the radio of another store so of course they were the first stop but when I got there I felt even more lost than before with their sleazy used-car-salesman attitudes. Not wanting to spend another second with those people, I left and didn't know what to do then. A week or two later I happened to see a sign for Graham Jewelers while in Wayzata. I figured, "what do I have to lose?" so I went on in and was immediately floored by how beautiful the sales floor was. Before I even had a chance to recover from the initial reaction to the store I was greeted by Danielle who was extremely nice to me. When I told her my situation and explained how lost I was she told me with a smile that she would walk me through their process and if I wasn’t comfortable with anything she would be more than happy to refer me elsewhere. Danielle took so much more time than anyone else had explaining the differences in the metal types, all the different options for mountings and the three C’s (see? I even sound like an expert now :) ). Danielle treated me like a person and like a friend, not just a customer which was such a refreshing feeling. I eventually settled on a ring and was incredibly happy with it (and, as it turns out, so was my now fiancé!). I not only felt like I was very confident with what I had purchased and the quality of it but I felt like I had just done business with a good friend. Other members of the Graham Jewelers team even came up to me and told me how much they liked the ring I had chosen and just chit chatted with me even though I wasn’t their customer. All in all I had an absolutely great experience at Graham Jewelers and wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else for my future purchases.
