I've been using Anna's at least 2 years now. I love them so much I recommended them to all my friends. I am moving to Atlanta in the summer, hope to find a good alteration there.
I recently had a dress altered at Anna's. The ladies there were super friendly and they did a fabulous job at a very reasonable price. I'm planning on going back soon to get my daughter's prom dress altered there as well.
My family and I have been going to Anna's for years and I'm always extremely satisfied with their work! Everyone there is always very sweet and professional, I highly recommend them!!
My friend recommended Anna's, I'm glad I went! I am very satisfied with their work, their quality is excellent and they were really quick!
Customer service is great and the girls are sweet. The overall shop is comfortable and professional. I especially like that they are well-versed in their apparel terminology and knowledge of fabric. They did an impeccable on my dress alterations and it fits me perfectly! I am definitely going back and would recommend Anna's to anyone with alteration needs!
They are the best... They alter my bridesmaid dress to fit me so good, I love to bring all my stuff there all the time...
Horrible experience cost over $300.00 – I took a gorgeous dress to Anna's for my niece's wedding. Having gained weight it took me months to find 'the right one.' They took it in around the neckline, which needed to be done. It was taken in too much and because of the material could not let it back out. They, the owners, insisted it looked fine. I 've never been so disappointed. It FELT tight which was the issue. It was $225.00 plus tax plus $80.00 for the 'alterations.' They refused to compensate me at all. It hangs in my closet. I used to rely on them totally but will never, ever return.
Lifesavers – I've been going to Anna's for over 10 years now along with my Grandmother and Mother, and I've never been disappointed with their work. This past year, I had taken a prom dress to a tailor that the store recommended, and long story short, the hem was so uneven it was 2 inches shorter on one side, and the owner blamed it on me having "uneven shoulders". I had to have a friend from Chicago ship me a new dress from the store there as there were none left in my size on the East coast, and brought it to Anna's. I was greeted by incredibly friendly people who listened to me vent about my issues while they worked and did a clearly better job of pinning and marking the appropriate spots. They had the alterations done within the week (the week of prom), and did it perfectly. I will be taking another dress to Anna's this week to be altered for sorority recruitment in the fall, and I have no doubt I will be completely satisfied.
Anna's: once reliable, not always reliable. Check their work before you pay & leave the store. – Used to go to Anna's all the time, years ago when located behind Dickadee's, and always had wonderful service and quality work done. At their newer location, I had my wedding dress altered and it was $220, way above the quote given. After that, I'd occasionally bring in pants to be hemmed - the quality seemed less than normal, the price a little higher, but it was just hemming, no big deal. The last time I went, probably 2 years ago, taking a pair of jeans for hemming and for the waist to be taken in. I assumed they had done an ok job and waited to see the work once I got home. The hemming was ok, but trying the jeans on was impossible, bc they'd sewn the waist together - from front zipper to back/crotch seam. Wound up cutting the thread that joined pants together so oddly and haven't seen any holes yet. Might give them another chance after a 2 year hiatus and see if they've become reliable once again.
Poor Service – I went in to get a special occasion dress altered. I was told they could do it. However, when I went in to get fitted a second time, a different lady told me that they could not finish it and that it was too complicated. I would have been fine with this, except that I was now out of time to take it anywhere else. She told me that I would need to try another alterations store. Also, the alterations they had already done were inaccurate. It was still far too big to wear. In addition, I was told when I picked the dress up that it would cost one amount, but they charged me more. When I asked to speak to someone about this, I was told that nothing could be done. They did not apologize or offer to help me find a solution to correct the problem. I was extremely dissatisfied with the service and will not go back. I feel like they ripped me off and there is no recourse.
