Bought a top of the line $3000 GE Cafe refrigerator from this store. Mohammad, who is the store manager, assured me at the time of the sale that the refrigerator runs quietly (this was one of the most important qualities to me). He even shows me that the refrigerator is plugged in and running in the store, "Look, you can't even hear it," he says. Refrigerator showed up at my house a week later and is THE LOUDEST refrigerator I've ever been around. Called Mohammad to complain, and he seemed more than willing to resolve the issue at the time. He sent out a GE Technician for me on 2 separate occasions, which resulted in the eventual installation of a 'noise kit' for this model refrigerator which did absolutely nothing to quiet the noise. I went back to the store again to approach Mohammad about my continued dissatisfaction with my $3000 purchase, and he seemed more than willing, still, to resolve the issue. He said that he would have GE deliver a brand new refrigerator of the same model, and if I was still dissatisfied, I would get my money back to purchase a different model refrigerator from him. This he promised. To make a long story less long, new refrigerator arrived and was just as loud as the previous one. I went back to the store and told Mohammad that I was still unhappy, at which time he told me that there was nothing more that he could do for me and that he had extended himself as much as he could.
Not that I can comprehend how neither Sara Appliances, nor GE can have absolutely ZERO regard for or commitment to costumer satisfaction, especially when it comes to a top of the line refrigerator, but the larger issue here is the fact that I was misled and flat out lied to on multiple occasions by Mohammad. Go shop at Sears. You'll get the same level of customer service and same degree of product knowledge exhibited by Mohammad at Sara Appliances.
I bought a Miele dishwasher from Sara Appliance & Electronics and had them install the item. Within a year the screws to the dishwasher started popping out. I called Sara A & E to ask them to come and fix it. The gal who answered the phone said that was normal because the dishwasher door was being opened and closed. What? In 20 years I have never had a dishwasher lose a single screw. I left a message for the store manager and my call was never returned. I wanted to buy locally to be socially conscious and support the local economy and my "neighbors" in business, yet when I needed them to provide support for their product, they were as helpful as if I purchased the item on the internet. Next time I will be getting the best price.
#1 recommendation – I heard of SARA from a friend and was glad to see them open in Sugar Land. I walked in even before they were done with construction and to my surprise was treated as if they were up and running. I was looking at buying a TV and the owner went down the line of there products and described to a T exactly what I was looking for. Then the greatest surprise came when he said the price. I had been looking for weeks and never found the prices he was selling at. The installers came and knew exactly what they were doing. They mounted the TV and incorporated the surround sound system I had perfectly. The amount of time they spent on me, buying just one TV made me feel so comfortable with my purchase. I plan on getting all my future electronics and appliances from SARA.
Sara High End Home Theaters are Awesome!!! – I have had the pleasure of working on my projects with Sara for over 14 years. All my high-end equipment has been purchased thru Sara. I have also built custom home theaters for several friends utilizing hardware and equipmet purchased thru them. Their technical knowledge on the products they sell is very impressive. I am an avid reader of home theater magazines, but I still use their expertise to make my final decision on equipment upgrades. Currently working on a very nice front projection set-up with Mehul and Aaron. Like I said before, first-class service and tech advice. I cannot wait to install my new toys. I have recommended their stores to all my friends and family.
These Guys Rock – Everything in my house that pretty much plugs in and cost over $400 is from here. Never had any issues from installation to quality of products. The most important thing is they beat any price in town. Great place to shop and recommned it to all my family and friends.
Excellent Service – Our experience with this store was amazing. They have an extremely knowledgable staff who actually know the products they are selling. We were looking for appliances and electronics for our new home and they guided through every step of the process without trying to oversell us on anything. They had an amazing selection with everything from the middle of the road appliances to the fanciest appliances and home theater gadgets. We didn't expect that when we first walked in. It was nice to be able to ask questions and have the owners at hand to answer them. We even had one of the owners come to our house at no cost to see what our project was all about.
Delivery and installation happened on time with the exception of one item that was backordered, but otherwise a breeze. I totally trust the staff here and would recommend this to anyone looking for custom appliance and electronics, they know their stuff and will save you a ton compared to the many of the other places in town .
BUYER BEWARE – Purchaed a Jennair downdraft range from Sara Appliance and Electronics. When the range was uncrated the glass top was cracked. Contacted Mohammad he gave the repairman's number. I called and two weeks later the repair was done. Thought this was a rare situation.
March 2008 purchased Amana refrigerator, GE slide in range, GE microwave, and a Bosch dishwasher.
The appliances sat in my garage crated until June. The kitchen was complete and the appliances were ready to be installed.
After uncrating the refrigerator I found a dent in the back corner. The contractor told me to contact Sara Appliance. I decided not to contact at that time. Thinking once the refrigerator slid in place the damage would not be visible. I had lived without a kitchen and in construction for 3 months and just wanted my life back.
November 2008 the Bosch dishwasher stayed in the wash cycle for 3 hours. I only used the dishwasher 10 times. I called Sara Appliance and spoke with Mohammad my salesman. He gave the number for the Bosch repairman. I called and they said it would take 2 weeks for the repair. I thought it's a week before Thanksgiving I guess they are busy.
December 1 2008 the repair appointment was between 12 and 3. The repairman called at 3:30 and said he was running late and it would be 2 more hours. It's now past 2 hours and still no repairman.
I paid $2500.00 for the above appliances. Guess I should have thrown a party with the money and kept the old appliances. Would not be aggravated now...
Avoid this store or buyer beware – I purchased a very expensive kitchen appliance from this store. When they installed the appliance, it did not work. The store refused to acknowledge any responsibility and said that it was my problem and that I should work it out with the manufacturer. If you are buying from this store, be sure to plug the appliance in AT THEIR WAREHOUSE before it is delivered to you so that you can see if it functions or not. Once they deliver it, they will not take any responsibility anbd will not stand behind their product.
