Arnies Restaurant is amazing. – I contacted Arnies to see if they would be open to cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my family because my husband has Stage IV cancer and I needed assistance in creating a memorable holiday dinner. The dinner was phenomenal, the stuffing was the best we ever had, the turkey was moist and the portions generous. The attention and customer service Fran and her staff gave to us was beyond exceptional. Arnies was charitable, generous, kind, and very much in the Thanksgiving spirit. Thank you Fran, Arnies and Staff.
First time for brunch will be the last – Normally, I don't write reviews of restaurants, but in this case I felt it necassary. My family and I decided to try the brunch at Arnies for the first time and it will be the last. What a disappointment. First, we were seated in a booth right next to the kitchen which was very loud and distracting including some foul language which my 7 and 12 year old daughters didn't need to hear. We were brought some fruit plates which happened to be the highlight of the experience, though very small but still fresh none the less. After quite a wait, our entrees finally arrived. One of my daughter's waffle had little bits of soot in it, so we sent it back and got her some eggs and potatoes which was a little better. My husbands seafood omelette was okay but the sauce on top looked like it was curdled or bad so we sent that back as well and had it replaced. I had the eggs benedict. The muffin tasted as if it was soaked in grease, the eggs were rock hard and the hollandaise was more like scrambled eggs and completely flavorless as were the potatoes which were also soggy. We finished what we could and left feeling as though we were robbed when we paid the bill, which we thought was far too expensive for both the food and the experience. We will not return to this establishment.
great half price wine bottle nights, good food – after reading all seafood reviews for the greater seattle area I found this restaurant's to be the most consistent. that is how i made the choice to go there to celebrate my dad and grandpa's birthday. When i made the reservation I was also informed they give free creme bruelle desserts to the bday people. we ended up going one one of the 1/2 priced wine bottle night and had a wonderful Saint Michelle Reisling. We all loved our entrees - alaskan king crab legs, cedar planked halibut, hot seafood salad, and fusilli and cheese. We also all had clam chowder and dessert that we liked, all for ~$200 for 5 people. over served seemed a little overwhelmed (like he had a lot of tables or something) but still managed to give better service that you get at a lot of places nowadays. We will definitely be back. it was a little loud sitting near their open kitchen though, so next time i would probably ask if we could be seated further away.
We?re thrilled you had such a wonderful time and extremely pleased you found great value in your experience. We feel the crush of rapidly increasing prices just like everyone else and we?re doing everything we can to make your visit both enjoyable and affordable. Thanks again and give your dad and granddad a big belated birthday from all of us at Arnies!
Saved by the food!! – Having been to Arnies a few times the last couple of years, my family and I decided to take my father out to dinner as they've always been a reliable restaurant to go to. My question is: What happened?!?! We made reservations for six on a Wednesday evening and upon arriving, we were greeted, if you could call that, by the hostess who seemed to busy talking to co-workers to acknowledge us. Bad start. I told her our name and the time of our reservation(we arrived about ten minutes early) and she had no record of our reservation but said it would be no problem getting us seated. It didn't seem that busy but we sat in the lobby for 20 minutes!! As we waited, I excused myself to the bathroom and upon walking to the bathroom, I could see part of the dining room was empty with several tables available. Exactly why were we waiting so long?? I asked if we could be seated with so many tables open and was given a "deer in the headlights" look from the hostess as she replied "it will just be a minute" as if I was the bad guy in all of this. Wow! I was one minute from asking for a manager when finally we were seated. Our server was great. He seemed genuine and friendly and was attentive to all our needs, though seemed a little smug at times. He brought out our drinks with appetizers soon after. We all shared a crab dip and a quesadilla which were both tasty and set the tone for the rest of the evening. Our food did not take long and looked and tasted great. My NY steak was perfectly done with a smokey type butter on top. My father had a lobster which was tender and juicy and put a big smile on his face, as well as ours. We shared some desserts with my father having a big slice of chocolate cake and ice cream and our server placed a candle in the cake which was a nice touch. Next time we go to Arnies, we will bypass the nightmare host desk and go right into the bar and save ourselves a headache.
I?m terribly sorry you had to experience our apparent ineptness at the front desk, but very thankful you took the time to let us know.
I wish I had answers for your questions because what you experienced is certainly not the way we normally operate, you can however be assured that they will be corrected.
Fortunately it sounds like once you got by the front desk everything went well and I?m very glad you were able to enjoy the rest of your evening. Unfortunately our screw ups in the beginning had a lasting effect on the rest of the evening and for that I sincerely apologize.
I would like to make it up to you and your family if you would be kind enough to contact me. Please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 425-774-8661 x15.
Sincerely and Humbly,

Great food. Great view. Great service. (In whatever order pleases you...) – Compared with the restaurants in this area, Arnie's sets the bar. As good or better than the Ballard view if you're looking for a romantic setting. Arrive during happy hour, settle in with the view of the ferry rolling by, and by dessert time you'll catch the sunset!... A+ score for the staff. No high-falutin' attitudes here: they always try their best to make you feel welcome. A real plus... Don't overlook the appetizer menu. Arnie's has a knack for focusing on simple pleasures. Try the manila clams and the salt and pepper prawns. My favorite for dinner has been the seafood fettuccine. Don't worry about heavy dessert; the burnt cream is a nice, "lightweight" option.
We wouldn?t be here today if it wasn?t for all the wonderful people like you. We are so fortunate to work in a business that allows us to take care of and meet so many incredible people. We think we have the best guests in the world. And in our eyes you?re truly an A+ patron! Thank you for being our guest and for all the wonderful compliments you were so generous to share. Sincerely from all of us at Arnies.
Waterfront dining/excelent seafood/ diverse menu – We are residents of Edmonds who dine out and travel frequently. Arnies of Edmonds is our recomendation for best seafood restaurant in Edmonds. In my opinion this restaurant ranks with the best restaurants of San Fransico and San Diego.
My wife is a member of a local service club who regularly lunch at the restaurant so she can vouch for that menu. The salads and sandwiches are excellent.
We regularly have dinner at Arnies. Although I usually choose a seafood dish, I do like my red meat. The specials (seafood) are always excelent, and the Prime Rib is outstanding.
We usually call for a reservation because we do have a favorite waitress (Carla), but each staff member that has served us has been excellent . If we become brave and fight our way into Seattle, we will stop for a late coffee and relax in the lounge on our way home.
I guess I have only talked about the food and drink, but I must state that the views of the Mountains, Sound, Marina, and Ferry traffic make it a very special place to take visitors from out of town. We think of ourselves as natives, but I really do enjoy ambiance. W. P. K.
Thank you so much for the wonderful compliments. It's the service to our guests that makes this business so pleasurable to work in and knowing that our loyal patrons feel the way you do is the icing on the cake. Thank you for putting the joy in our lives. From all of us at Arnies.
Genuine hospitality! – I had the best experience at Arnie's with my husband and 4 year old daughter. Our server was completely accommodating to our child's requests and the bartenders were so pleasant and generous. The highlight of the evening was when one of the managers came up to our table and personally made sure we were enjoying ourselves. I would highly recommend Arnie's to anyone in the Edmonds area for either a date night or a family outing.
Children are sweet little treasures that can be a bit tricky when it comes to dining out. It?s always nice to hear that we?re able to take care of their needs in such away it allows their parents to enjoy a wonderful evening out. Thanks for your kind words and we hope to see you again soon, from all of us at Arnies.
eight years going and never a bad experience – A great restaurant with friendly employees. A very great place to have dinner or a beverage.
I have been going to Arnies for eight years and never a bad experience. One of my favorite dining establishments in the northwest.
After 29 years it still feels great knowing we're able serve our guests so consistantly in such a mannor that it leaves this kind of impression!
Thank you for letting us know. It really makes the crew's day knowing they are making a difference in peoples lives!
Thank you from all of us at Arnies

Great Place to DIne! – I love the view and the food! What could be better than a view of the sound and eating fresh seafood? Their salmon is to die for, and the waiters and very knowledgable and friendly. The wine selection is large and the happy hour has some good deals. Always a place to take family and friends.
What a view! – A friend took me here for the first time and wow! food was great, the view was absulutely incredible, and I must not have had the same server as the previous reviewer because the service we had was spot on! I had a bisque (which I thought was good, but better at there sister restaurants the Coho Cafe's) a wild salmon dish and we shared a slice of absolutely gluttonous coconut creme pie. It was a lot, but with a bottle of wine at half off, the bill was very reasonable. Keep up the great work.
