SPOILED FOOD ON BUFFET – CALLING THE HEALTH DEPT ON THIS ONE! HORRIBLE SERVICE TOO! NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT-OUR FAMILY IS IN THE REST BIZ.
Not Horrible – I have visited here one time for lunch while in town on business. They have a small buffet with rice, nan, and about 6 different Indian dishes. I tried each one and they were all decent, but each was only a small variation on the previous one. They did have tandoori chicken also that was pretty good.
It did not strike me as the cleanest place, but I did not see any of the crazy things that other reviews have stated.
I would go here again.
BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT I EVER VISITED IN STATES!!!!! – Best amongst any indian restaurent with very good quality and reasonable price and the best part is timely delivery..We feel very comfortable and the staff is so cooperative. We always love to go here with my family especially weekend buffet.. a la carte ordering is even more better ............i have seen several restaurants in charlotte and around in 3 yrs but there is no comparision of jaipur rest food and service. people have so much of warmth for guest and have almost everyone is returning customer like me. Don't listen to anyones bad comment about this place .....................they have been doing this great job since 10yrs now. only one surviving so far ...............no wonder good food is cause of it. I love going there with my office mates and family. They are doing great job....................go experience without a doubt in mind.
Wanna get sick!!! Go to Jaipur – Great food but unhygienic. I don't know about you guys, but for me hygiene is important. I ran in to the salad bar with a fly floating in the Raita (Yogurt). The owner simply removed the fly and did not bother to change the pan of yogurt. On more than one occassions, I saw the chef tasting the food with the spoon that was dipped back into the bowl. The same bowl was served to customers. The servers utilize same dirty napkins to clean tables that a customer used. This can cause contamination. I brought the issue to the owner, who can barely speak English. He said, "It's all good".
Nice food but poor quality! – The food is allright, has the trditional flavor and test. but the quality of food is not that great. Service is ok. and prices are not that bad either!
Great food and service! – Jaipur is the closest you come in terms of great Indian food in Charlotte. The servers are friendly and prompt! Food is delicious and cheap! Take your family and friends out and have a great time at Jaipur!
Indian on Indian food - pretty good North indian food. – Nice buffet. Lots of seating and get in and out quickly if u r in a rush. Good selection of veg and non-veg dishes. Perfect spice level. Lots of fresh pickles and condiments. Good service. Authentic and delicious desserts such as rice pudding, falooda (rose-flavored tapioca ice cream), gulab jamun (honey flavored pastry). Easy on the wallet. Nice dinner or lunch spot.
Staff is helpful.
spicey/tasty the way desi food should be! – If you like it spicy then Jaipur is the place for you. For authentic desi cuisine, everyone should make this a stop when visiting Charlotte. The best indian restuarant in the area!!
vegetarian vs meat eater – My son is a vegetarian and I eat meat except when I visit him. The food had such wonderful spices and favor that I did not miss the meat with my meal. The atmosphere is great and the service is exceptional.
Order the buffet and still feel healthy when you leave. – The Scene
Jaipur is the jewel in a lunch-timer's crown: It offers a wide enough variety to tempt any palate, and the service is quick enough to squeeze a visit into a lunch hour. If you're not in a hurry, the buffet is an even better deal?the longer you sit, the more you can eat. Many Indian buffet aficionados measure their experience by the quality of the nan-flat bread flavored with herbs. Jaipur passes the test, keeping the serving area stocked with hot, fresh pieces.
In a city where meat-and-three is part of the cultural heritage, vegetarians are particularly lucky to have Jaipur and its 20 meat-free entrees. Dieters will enjoy tandoori dishes?meats and seafood cooked in a clay oven that seals in juices and makes food flavorful without much added fat. Wash it down with a mango yogurt drink called lassi, and you'll be convinced the calories didn't count.
