I walked into this dealership expecting that I will buy an affordable and reliable car.This dealership sold me a certified pre-owned vehicle that was in an accident and they never disclosed that information. In fact, we were told that what makes a certified pre-owned vehicle is that it meets certain standards, the most important being that it has never been in an accident. After months of unsuccessful repairs to the car, we decided to take a loss and trade it in for a brand new car (since they couldn't buy it back due to the accident that it was in--which makes no sense because it was sold in that condition). The salesman Mel Quinto kept telling us to return the old plates and that we'd get new ones in the mail. We waited and waited. When we called the lady on the phone told us the plates were delivered and someone signed for them. Then she said the plates were transferred and that we were supposed to keep the old ones and just put it on the new car. Too late for that since we'd already turned in the old plates. I went to get new plates today that cost me $100 and they wasted my time for this past year--going to various dealerships to make repairs on the damaged car and opening a case with Honda. Going to this dealership was a complete nightmare. STAY AWAY!
Best Place to Buy a Car – My cousin told me about Tarrytown Honda when I was looking for my new car. He liked it so much that I actually made the trip all the way from Jersey to check it out. I'm happy to say he was right. They were such genuinely nice people. I didn't get any of that typical 'car salesman' attitude from anyone who worked there. Mel helped me find my perfect Accord, and I was in and out in under 2 hours. Definitely worth the trip, if I do say so myself.
awesome dealership!! – Tarrytown Honda is awesome. This month, I leased my first brand new car from them, and I love it. What's even better is that they got me a fantastic deal. I was a little worried that they were going to try and pressure me into spending more money then I'm comfortable with, but Chad was actually really cool and laid back. I'm recommending them to all my friends :)
Nothing but happy with service dept. – I've had my CR-V serviced twice at Tarrytown Honda and have been nothing but happy with them. They work quickly and always keep me updated as necessary. The price is right too.

I knew I wanted a Civic when I arrived at the dealer, but I wasn't sure which model or trim to get because there are so many. Jay listened to me and helped me figure out which would be best for my lifestyle. I wound up getting a 2012 Civic Coupe EX, and I LOVE it. It could not be more perfect for me. While other dealers were marking up the price of a Civic almost $3,000, Tarrtown Honda NEVER engaged in the practice of price gouging. Great Dealership – Joseph was an absolute pleasure to work with. He made the experience simple for me -it was my first car purchase and I couldn't have been happier. He answered all questions and really went out of his way to find the color car I wanted. He followed up with a phone call as well to see how I was doing with my new car. I would highly recommend Tarrytown Honda!
Spend your hard earned money elsewhere... – We went there to shop for a Honda Pilot and first off the receptionist was friendly and the internet marketer was nice too. She had to hand us over to the sales man, Matthew Gish, and the experience spiral downward after. He pulled up the vehicle for us to see, and we quickly see scratches all around, one including a rusting spot under the door, and a shaved strip. I asked if the dealership can fix it, he told me if I wanted this is what I get for buying a used car... and that I should consider a new car if I want them scratch free... My wife and I was stunned but willing to go for a test drive... He was acting edgy as if he is just doing us a charity show.
Then, I sat down for an offer price, and the manager came over after, to tell me basically this is not negotiable, and he walked away! I was still at the desk??? I left with a puzzled experience, and of course I will not recommend this dealership! I emailed the manager, Chris Mendicina, with no response or apology!
Well you get the picture, I be aware to shop here, take your hard earned money elsewhere! I found another Honda dealership with much better deal, and service with a smile. Good Luck to stay open, Tarrytown Honda.
