I wonder... 0 - 3 for the year on Geek Squad
and everything is a retail solution....
I wonder what, "We will call you tomorrow means"?
First time using Best Buy's Geek Squad. I read a few bad reviews so didn't know about them. They were really nice and knowledgeable. They didn't seem to mind that I was a dunce when it came to operating my new tv and they taught me how, even quizzing me on it. They also managed to fix a door on my cabinet, improve my wireless and pointed out where the sales person had overcharged me 100 dollars. On top of that, they sold me some cables that were half the price of the ones I had bought (which weren't even usable) and told me to just take the unusable ones back so I could get my money back. The Geek Squad was excellent.
Will never go back – I spent about two hours with "stephanie" in the customer service area. She was great and working very hard to help me with my issues. She was made to leave before we could finish everything. I ended up staying another hour because I had to re-explain everything to a woman who was more interested in her hair and cell phone then what I was saying. I will never go back because they like to waste their customers time.
Never Let Greek Squad near anything you own!!!!!! – Greek's installed a sound system in my truck......
.broke the speaker covers, screwed up the heat/defrost vents when the JAMMED the new CD Player into position. Attempted to talk to MARIO.the asst manger, but I recored our entire putrid, degrading, attempted intimidating conversation that I play to every Mason/York Rite/Sudan/VFW/American Legion/DAV function I attend. The Store MGR would never contact me after 5 detailed messages were left.
There are out only to fleece the pubic and military community.
good store – great employees, great store all around.
A virtual Mecca for gear heads, this electronics giant hawks everything from booming sound systems to notebook-sized personal computers. – In Short
Founded in 1983, this high-tech haven is recognizable by its blue, box-like building stamped with a yellow price tag-shaped logo. Explore the wide, gadget-lined aisles and find brand-name goods including personal computers, video games, TVs, digital cameras, cell phones and fax machines. Choose from a slew of popular brands such as Canon, Microsoft, Samsung and Sony. In-house installation services are available for most car audio and video systems, home entertainment systems, satellite hook-up, and home appliances.
Used to be Great Customer Service - Good Deals- now management and store has gone down hill! – Price matched a competitor every time I come in with their price/ad with no problem. I have gotten the lowest Prices every time.
Most of the employees are helpful. A young man named Tim has been the most helpful (young asian man that said he was a supervisor)everytime and has always been patient when having to explain a technical illiterate person everything I needed to know.
Often I have had to call with questions and I have learned to ask for this young man Tim if I had more questions and he always answered them with patience and professionalism. He made sure I understood completely.
Now there was one time I had to ask a manager a question, I think he was John or something like that - he was very short and even rude like he did not have time to listen or talk to a customer. I had not even realized he was a manger as I had seen him several times in the store and he acted a bit unprofessional. MUch different than Tim which was always there to help any customer that needed it, even helping in a dept that was short on help. That John guy would send one back to the dept and say he woudl get someone to help, and never had anyone come serve. I realized I would be sure to get help form people like Tim even if I had to call and see when he would be in....funny thing though, he has not been there the last few times I called and wondered why. Employees jsut tell you he is not there. myabe I will need to find out where he is and start shopping there..because I would rather shop where there are people like him. Sure do miss him there and really being able to shop at Best Buy. Hope he is alright and be back soon. He was a very impressive young man and would recommend him to anyone that wants to hire him for his professionalism and knowledge if he ever needs a referral.
I even asked that man John one day where Tim was and he just rolled his eyes and made a face and said he was not there anymore. Poor management-which reflects on the service of store.
