Edzo's Burger Shop

They come for the burgers (amazing!) but they fall in love with the giant, hand-spun shakes (to die for). Be an insider and ask for the off-menu Elvis shake or Speculoos shake. You really can't go wrong.

Fresh old-school burgers – A colorful mural and the heavenly scent of grilling and frying food greets you immediately upon entering. Edzo's has hotdogs, chicken and veggie burgers too, but if you bother coming, you HAVE to get the burgers

Eddie, the owner, is always taking orders with a smile and you can tell he is passionate about serving good burgers. He grinds his burgers fresh every morning, so they come out organic shaped, not in perfectly round mechanized patties like at fast food joints. This is a genuine old-school diner.

Eddie periodically offers "upgrades" to organic, local, grass-fed beef, which is worth the extra charge for eco-conscious customers. Try a griddled burger for something simple and the charbroiled if you prefer something heartier. Wash down the sodium with a thick Nutella milkshake.

Citysearch Editorial Review – A thick, meaty smoke permeates the air at this splashy burger joint with a convincing it’s-been-there-since-the-70s feel. A gigantic, psychedelic burger mural, rusty Vienna hot dog signs and pale yellow and orange paint don’t quite cover the cracks in the wall, and the sound of crackling grease competes with smooth blues tunes. Predictably, the burgers here are no-nonsense. These aren’t foodielicious, tricked-out gourmet patties--the most unorthodox topping is a fried egg. But the four-ouncers, which are ground daily in-house and griddled as you hungrily wait, are noticeably fresh. While burger accoutrements are relatively run-of-the-mill, fry options--such as the Taylor Street fries, drenched Italian beef gravy, sweet peppers and giardiniera--are anything but.

Great Burgers! – I ate there a few times and they got some bomb burgers. Get the angry fries.
