Make sure to get a Venik Massage at this Russian spa! – Oh my gosh are the staff friendly! They showed us around and answered all our questions and introduced us to people. They made us feel like family.

The Russian sauna is REALLY really hot. Probably normal for Russians, but for someone who goes to the sauna at the gym all the time, this was 100% hotter. Most people wear hats in the sauna. We didn't know about this so we didn't bring a hat. I think they dip them in cold water and they say it helps them to stay in the sauna longer... that is if I understood them correctly. A bit of a language barrier.

The steam room was really hot too, again much hotter than any gym steam room I've been to. Although they don't call it a steam room, their term is "Wet Sauna".

The cold pool was suppose to be 33 degrees and extremely cold, we went in a bit, but were too chicken to take the plunge. Maybe if there hadn't been an audience we would have tried.

The hot tub was really hot and quiet enjoyable.

We also had a "venik massage" which is a massage that a Russian man gives you with leaves in the sauna. It's suppose to detoxify you and the stuff from the leaves is suppose to go into your pours. At least I think... Again, the language barrier. Maybe I will have to learn Russian.

The changing rooms were really small and I wish there were more room to change/put your stuff. But they do have a free tanning bed in case you want to use it. They also have Q-tips, free locker for your stuff, and a hair dryer.

We tried the Kavas, which is a Russian drink and that was cool too.

There is a "dry room" to hang out in, in case you just want to chill for a bit. Play some pool, watch Russian videos, eat Russian food, hang out in comfy chairs and relax.

Russian spa hidden in the heart of Everett – Right in the center of the downtown Everett shopping district there's a Russian Banya (spa). It's downstairs from the FGM church and the entrance may be a bit hard to spot at first, but when you find it, it is worth it!

Inside is a hot dry sauna, a steam room, a cold plunge pool, and a jacuzzi spa. All in a warm, elegantly modern environment.

The 11-to-3 half-price entry makes it a great lunchtime getaway for a quick and relaxing Banya session.

If you've never been to a Banya before, bring a swimsuit and a knit cap. Change into your swimsuit in the large Mens or Womens locker room, take a quick shower, put on your cap, then go into the dry sauna or the steam room.

After five or ten minutes, exit the sauna and jump into the cold plunge. Yes, the water is between 35 and 40 degrees F. Jump in, let your body shed the sauna heat, then get out and relax for a few minutes on the many benches around the room.

Now go back into the dry sauna or the steam room, and do it all over again!

After a couple sessions you will feel a warm, relaxing feeling come over you, called the "Banya High".

Downtown Banya is open til 11 PM so you can also go after work or after dinner and stay til late.

About the only thing I would change would be to add a mid-temperature soaking pool.

Russian spa hidden in Everett – This russian banya is located on Colby in downtown Everett. Its a good way to spend a day destressing. Many amenities including tanning bed, pool table, hot sauna, wet sauna, cold plunge, hot tub and restaurant. Banya enterance is only 15$ M-F 11-3 and free on your birthday. Normally 30$ to stay all day. Spa services are also offered, including some that sound unusual like cupping. Restuarant includes many russian dishes, I enjoyed the kvas, russian fermented rye drink while enjoying my hot sauna. Candy is currently being sold 4 for a 1$ for full size chocolate bars. Staff and super friendly, website is very nice and up to date. Bring some friends, but definetely try the cold plunge no matter how much you don't want to, its so rejuvenating.
