perfect patio – Finally, a gorgeous Saturday in Denver! My friend and I spent the afternoon drinking great bloody mary's on The Lobby patio. We indulged in the tater greens which are FABULOUS and ate a burger! The burgers are stuffed and simply divine, definitely check them out if you are a burger lover like myself. A perfect way to spend a gorgeous day in Denver!!!
Read this review before wasting your money – I took my boyfriend to The Lobby for his birthday. Two of our friends decided to join us. First of all, our server didn't come to our table for the first 15 minutes we were there. Finally, a very nice young man (not sure if he was another waiter or what his role was) was setting up another table and we asked him if we could order drinks with him. He ended up taking our drink orders (honestly, we thought our server had quit and didn't tell anyone) and got them to us promptly. When she finally did come over, the fourth person in our party had been seated and she brought 3 waters, neglected to ask him if he would like something to drink, and walked away to not be seen again for another 10 minutes.
After the first 25 minute debacle, we decided that we should stick it out and give it a shot. We decided to order a few happy hour appetizers, which were all decent, however, every single offering that you have on that menu is fried. The nice young man that I mentioned above sent over an order of the fried Blue Cheese balls, I guess as a way of saying sorry for our server's poor service, however we were told by her that it was so that we could try the famous appetizer. After all of this, two of the guests decided that they were going to leave. My boyfriend and I stayed for dinner. He ordered a draft beer and it tasted very chemically, so he decided to go with a bottled beer to alleviate any future chemical tastes. We ordered our dinner and were very excited. My boyfriend ordered the Pork Loin. When he cut into it, it was raw in the center - PINK!! After everything that we had been through that night, he sent it back and didn't want anything else. I had the blue cheese, onion burger. Our server failed to ask me how I wanted it cooked. I finally flagged down another waitress to ask her if I could have it well done. She explained to me that since it was a stuffed burger, that was the only choice. That's fine but it would have been nice if our very own server would have explained that to me instead of running away as soon as she got our order. The burger was ok, not my favorite (especially since it seemed to "stay" with me all night).
After all of this, we get a card for a free appetizer, I guess as an apology. I noticed the next day that it's not even for a "free" appetizer. It's a “free appetizer with the purchase of two entrees”.
We won’t ever be returning to this restaurant again, not even for drinks!!
