If someone asks for a deposit to order the parts to fix your appliance. Thank-them for their time as you escort them to the door.
This company doesn't know what A1 means. I called them in July to clean the ice maker in my refrigerator, fix the self cleaning part in my oven, and stop my dishwasher from sqeaking when I opened and closed the door. The "technician" showed me how to clean my ice maker and gave me the parts to clean. While I was cleaning he said he re-calibrated my self cleaning oven. He then told me my springs were "shot on my dishwasher. He asked for a deposit to order the parts for the dishwasher. He said the parts would be delivered in a couple of days. When he did not return I called and he sad the parts had not arrived. When the parts arrived he came and installed the new springs and the dishwasher still squeaked. He asked if I had any vaseline to lubricate them. I said no. He used my liquid dish soap to "lubricate" them. After he left my son came home from work and noticed they had left a screw loose which scraped the top of my dishwasher door. I called to have them fix it. It is September 13th and they still have not returned to fix it even though I have called several times.
The technician made several calls to Comcast complaining about their poor service while he was "working" in my kitchen. Given A1 Refrigeration & Appliance's poor service I find this ironic.
CONSUMER BEWARE!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH A1A REFRIGERATION & APPLIANCE REPAIR
I called A1A Refrigeration & Appliance Repair back in November of 2012 because the oven on my gas stove was no longer working. The co-owner and an assistant came to my house on November 29, 2012. After inspection, the co-owner gave an explanation of what he thought the problem might be and quoted a price of $408.51, with a $300 initial deposit. Since the repair parts were supposed to come with a lifetime warranty, I gave the co-owner a check for the $300 deposit with the understanding that the parts would be in within 48 hours, and my oven would be repaired by Wednesday, December 5. Wednesday came and went without any call or repair visit from A1A. I called repeatedly to try to reach someone, but there was no response. When I finally did get in touch with someone the following week, the man on the other line was very abrupt, rude, and talked so fast that I could hardly understand him. He stated something about still waiting on the parts and that they would call when they came in. Days went by without any follow-up from anyone at A1A. I finally reached a woman who said that they were still waiting on the parts. Around mid-December, the co-owner finally came to the house to do the repair on my oven. After applying the new parts, the oven was still not working. I was told that they would have to replace yet another part. The holidays came and went without the use of my oven. There was no follow-up until the head owner called after the first of the year to tell me that he was coming out personally to repair my oven. Every subsequent scheduled repair time after that was met with some type of erroneous excuse as to why he could not keep the appointment or a complete no-show altogether after I had adjusted my schedule. After 5-1/2 months of this, I requested a full refund...not wanting to do business with a company of such questionable integrity that had wasted so much of my time. My request has been met with the same indifference and lack of communication and professional courtesy by the owners as before. As of today, May 22, 2013, the "promised" refund check which was suppose to be in the mail last week, naturally, has not arrived. I have been blatantly lied to and put off for six months, and I am beyond sick and tired of it. The owners of A1A Refrigeration & Appliance Repair should be ashamed of how they have treated an honest, hard-working, military family! The Better Business Bureau informed me that this company has 45 complaints filed against them...33 just in the past year alone! There is no telling how many actually went un-filed.
I have a kenmore washer that needed repair because a weird clunking noise. So I called A1a even though I was concern about the comment above. NE how they replaced for a three piece adapter that was stronger link type mechanism an it was only 98 dollars. Five Stars Twenty Minutes
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! DO NOT USE!! Our fridge stopped work just before Christmas. My mother used A1A and recommended them to us. We called them, and they came out and said it was the motherboard and they had to order a new one. They said they would have the part in a day or two, and offered to come out on x-mas eve, we said that was not necessary. So then they said they would be out on the 26th. 26th came and went, we heard nothing from them. We called them the next day, they said "we thought you understood it was a holiday and we didn't get the part" We said no, you told us you would have it by this day, but fine. They said they would call us by the next day if it was not in. Again, they never called to tell us it was not in. We repeated this several times, they promised us they would call and never would, we would call and they would apologize or make up some excuse why they never called. We felt like at this point they had our money and didn't care at all. Finally they installed the part, and it doesn't work. They came back 3 more times, each time guessing what was wrong and "fixing" something else. Several times they did not show for appointments at all, and we had to call to find out they could not make it that same day. At one point a tech told us that a previous tech had installed something wrong, and that is why it was still not working. Finally they get it kind of working (the water and icemaker were not working right, which they were before. But it was such a nightmare getting that far we did not want to call them back.) 3 weeks ago my fridge stopped working again. I called them told them what time I had to go to work, and they assured me they would be there by then, but they never showed or called. The fridge started working again. Then a week ago it went out again. I called again, and again told them when I was available, they told me they would be there yet did not show by the time they promised me. I got home from work with a note on my door. My wife had off yesterday, so they said they would be there between 10 and 12. They never showed. She called them and asked to speak to a supervisor, the person who has answered the phone every time, Erika, said she was the supervisor. She said she called me on my cell and left me a message saying they could not make it. I called her then, because I never received a missed call or a message from them at all. She was completely lying about calling me and leaving a message, that never happened. She then assured us they would be out today, before noon. Again they did not show, nor did they call us to say they were not going to be here. My wife had to finally call them, and they said they were busy and might make it out before 2 pm. My wife had other things she had to do today, and had already wasted all morning waiting and could not wait any longer for them. So we have spent plenty of money, and WAY, WAY too much of our time waiting for them, yet NOTHING IS FIXED. This company has by far the WORST customer service I have ever seen! They feel customers should have to work around the companies schedules. They have no clue how to book and then show up for an appointment, they are completely unprofessional, the people you speak to are rude, oh and they cannot apparently even fix a fridge, which is the whole reason they are there! Unfortunately we are stuck dealing with them since they already took our money, yet all we have to show for it is a broken fridge and days worth of wasted time waiting for them to show up when they say they are going to. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, FIND ANY OTHER COMPANY!!!!
Best Damn Service Ever – The Tech Bo And Bobby, CAme and fixed my Refrigerator And Washer/Dryer Combo. They Were there early to my appointment and Also gave me a discount for allowing them to service all 3 of my appliances. Thaat fixed them the first trip and gave me a 3 year warranty on all of my repairs. I couldnt belive I got such great service at a reasonable price Without all the run around that i have gotten from sears and others. I will never use any other company, and the have me and all of my clients bussiness for life . Thank you A1A for your help on a shi88y day for me when I was in desoerate nedd and in a hurry
