I enquired about bridal hair and make-up nearly a year prior to my wedding, and Terry was very receptive and pleasant on the phone. Approximately 4 months prior to my wedding, I scheduled a trial hair and make-up. I was told I would be working with Sean.
My mother and aunt travelled all the way from NJ specifically to join me for the trial. When we arrived at the studio, we were informed that Sean was running about 15 minutes late, due to traffic related to an accident. I was disappointed that no one had called to let us know, but we sat there and waited. Unfortunately, after nearly 40 minutes, he had not arrived. The staff were nice, offering to reschedule for the following day, Sunday, even though the studio is typically closed then. We said we were interested in rescheduling, especially since my family had travelled 3 hours.
Sean called later that day, and was extremely apologetic. Apparently he had been involved in the accident, so of course, I was completely understanding. He offered to reschedule for the following day. I told him I just needed to double-check with my mom and aunt (who were at church at that moment), and that I would call back shortly. He promised he would be available all night, and that I could call or text his cell at any time. I texted him approximately 2 hours later (around 7pm) to say that we were definitely interested in rescheduling for the following day. I never heard back. Early the next morning, I called and left a message. Again, I never heard back.
Needless to say, by that point I was completely appalled by the salon and service. While it is understandable that emergencies occur, I should have been informed of the delay prior to my arrival at the salon. Additionally, never hearing back from a stylist despite my interest in rescheduling is simply unacceptable and very poor customer service. Finally, I never received a phone call or apology from the owner, Terry. I'm very disappointed, not only by the disaster of that weekend, but because multiple other stylists I have contacted are now booked on my wedding date.
I do not recommend this salon for formal services due to the unreliability and lack of responsiveness.
Horrible! – This place needs some serious work. I paid $30 to get half an inch trimmed off the bottom of my hair and I didn't even get it washed!!!!! I will never return to this hair salon again! (Very disappointed.) I've never paid so much for a trim in my life!
