Combines the chic city with excellent sushi – What I love about Current is that this place offers drinks beyond wine, sake, and Asian beer. I absolutely adore champagne cocktails, and Current has three pretty great ones offered on their menu.

The sushi is pretty good, too. My favorite is the tropical xxplosion roll, which combines eel, mango, and avocado. The spicy yellowtail roll is also awesome. The rolls are a good size, but can be a little expensive. I'd skip the apps and just go straight to the sushi rolls.

Citysearch Editorial Review – With its glass bar and deck-like hardwood floors, this go-to spot in Dupont for sushi, sake and cocktails feels more like a luxury yacht--and all the excess it entails--than a traditional Asian restaurant. The chic setting includes an underlit bar--drinks glow with the faint blue light--where patrons can watch as rolls are prepared. Mod, low tables complete the dining room, which flickers with candlelight on shelves along the walls and at each table. On weekends after 10pm, electronica music gets a bit louder (a DJ spins from the second-floor lounge) and the restaurant becomes a nightlife destination--complete with bottle service--for revelers in search of hip cocktails such as basil wildberry mojitos, lycheetinis and "bubble cocktails" made with Champagne.
