Citysearch Editorial Review – The International District might seem like a strange place to find this seafood boil restaurant, but it seems to have found quite a following, judging from the tables full of diners digging into piles of steaming seafood. Come prepared to get down and dirty with your food, as the pile will be presented in a plastic bag for you to dump on your paper-covered table. The décor and eating style may seem a little hokey, but Crawfish King does a great job of nailing the cooking times of the various foods—whether you’re talking the corn and potatoes or any of the many seafood options. Start with the traditional crawfish and enjoy a reasonably priced meal, but you can also work your way through a number of different kinds of crab, live prawns, clams and numerous other market-fresh items. Classic New Orleans accompaniments are available, including a variety of deep-fried delicacies. A last piece of advice? Those hot sauce bottles that line the walls might be just decoration, but they should serve as a warning when choosing your spice level!
Citysearch Editorial Review – For Creole-style seafood by the pound, grab a bib and some Wet Naps and head to this spicy International District eatery.
