What a disaster. – We've eaten here many times with good experiences until now.
The good - We were seated in good time & and drink order was taken.
The bad -
1) Here come the beers, one dumped on table, ran on my pants and friends sweater.
2) $17.99 for Baby back ribs. I've had these many times before, but these were small. I hate to spend this kind of money to still be hungry after eating.
3) Waitress takes my plate, hits the bottom of my beer glass jamming it into my mouth. Fortunately no dental work needed, but sore mouth.
I understand people make mistakes & can have an off night. How bad did they feel about this. No adjustment to bill what-so-ever. Pay in full. At least they didn't charge us for the beer they spilt.
I then go to their website to fill out a customer comment form. They state it's constantly checked, it's been two weeks now. I waited to see if they would contact me like their site said they would before posting this. Very poor. This shows a management problem.
Good Food/Bad Horrible Service – My wife and I have just returned from the restaurant.
The food at the Ram Restaurant is pretty good. Burgers and sandwiches were tasty and the fish and chips were worth the price.
Beer is meh. I had the red IPA and my wife had the blonde. There are much better places in town that brew their own.
The service was abysmal. It took over 15 minutes for us to be greeted by our server. Food and drinks took a long time to show up. She was not very quick at checking in with us and the table with the kid at it seemed to be much more important than any of her other customers in the bar. All told we were there for an hour and a half and we did not dally over our drinks.
Let me explain the bar situation; we ate in the bar, we like eating in the bar because as a couple we enjoy an adult eating experience. Biggest beef was the mom and her kid seated in the bar. OLCC rules do no allow for that, but this restaurant does not seem to care about those rules as they even seated another family (2 kids) in the bar with the approval of the front desk.
This was not our first time here either. We had eaten here before and like the food, but the service was poor. We decided to give them another chance. Bad choice on our part.
I would not bother going to this place. Despite the food being pretty good, there are lots of places around town that offer excellent food and excellent service. It is just not worth it because of their service.
