Great Services, Awesome Engraving, & Free Services R Cool! – They enlarged the store, and now got more than double the room, so it does not feel so "crowded" anymore, which is cool! New cool engraving tricks - I'm impressed with the personalization that they can do. Parking can suck there, especially during lunch times or busy times around the town. Love the fact that it's easy to get in, if you can park, LOL! Sterling prices are awesome, I just got a ring for $26 and have gotten so many compliments. I've been looking for one to fit my index finger for awhile that is unique & I found it!

The Estate and Consignment case is pretty awesome. Recently, I found a major steal, and I cannot believe I got this awesome ring for $150! 1 carat of diamonds set in 10K white gold. Not a solitaire, but I just LOVE the design. (the really cool thing is that it fit! so I didn't have to get it sized)

diamond prices are great!!! – great prices and quality really explains the diffrence of styles and diamonds, would never buy at the mall. Buy independent owned. Great warranties on the diamonds and upgrade policy . Dana helped me and she said she would rather sell me a smaller diamond that sparkles than a larger one that didn't. I see the diffrence now. I will recommend them.

LOve small towns – I moved here three years ago and I have been using Dana's and the customer service is exceptional ( iam from New york) The stores here are very personal compared to where I am from. I like shopping at Dana's they carry all kinds of neat trinkets. I broke a necklace I had purchased form there (it was my fault , I forgot I had a turtleneck on) and they fixed it FREE of charge ( they said the first time whether it was ther fault or mine they would fix it free of charge ) that is service , unheard of from where I am from. They take very good care of me , I don't buy a whole lot but I am always treated like a million bucks. They also, told me places I should visit in downtown and if had any questions about the area just to call they would try to help.

Wouldn't recommend for repairs – I wish I had never taken my jewelry there to be repaired. I went cause someone I knew said they did good repair work. I felt the work done on my bracelet was substandard at best. I won't be taking anymore repairs there!

WORST experience EVER! – I can totally understand the other reviews, they are right on about this store. I would NEVER recomment anyone (that I know at any rate)-lol- to go there.

Not up to this shopper's standards – After over 10 years of this store...NEVER again. The products are well..meh...alright, it is the service that is sorely lacking.

You can't hide the TRUTH behind FIVE stars! – I would suggest that anyone reading the "FIVE" star PERFECT ratings of this store ask themselves the question: WHY the reveiwer feels the need to say people who are giving HONEST reviews are telling "untruths"....Hmmmmm....WHO has the most to gain with those "oh so perfect reviews".

great customer service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – I've read somethings that were not true , and I wanted it known I have been doing business with Dana's before they opened in downtown Newton and me and my friends and family have been extremely happy , she has helped me save money by telling me I did not have to buy a new ring or setting I could have the one I have fixed m, she figured it up to see which would be the less expensive route to go , she trul;y cares and is very fair on pricing. I tell everyone about Dana's Fine Jewelry . I love shopping ther because they are always very helpful.

Lousy Experiences! – I purcashed several pieces of jewelry for my wife there and had problems from the get go. My wife had problems and issues as well and when she finally decided she didn't want to do business with that store anymore, not only did the owner involve her mother, at that time unaffiliated with the store, causing hurt and pain to my wife as she was friendly with owner's mother (which the owner knew), she sent a letter asking my wife to not talk about what had happened.

The WORST place I have EVER dealt with. – Not The Store It Is Reputed To Be: After the following incidents at this store, when I purchased yet ANOTHER defective item, I asked for a refund. After 10+ (years) of being a customer, I was appalled to learn that under NO circumstances does this store EVER give a refund. You either have to take a store credit (even if there is nothing there you want), or get a replacement item. Imagine again my shock when I asked for a different version of the item that I purchased that cost less and was informed they wouldn't even refund the difference for that. I finally had to settle for a replacement item that I didn't want that cost a couple dollars more than the original item.....they didn't make me pay the extra couple dollars. There have been NUMEROUS problems over the years with this "fine" jeweler. My engagement ring was purchased there. After numerous repairs for inferior work, gold not done properly, diamond about falling out etc., they finally chipped one of my diamonds and it had to be replaced. Just so you understand, my engagement ring is very dear to me, and I was heartbroken and dismayed that one of my original diamonds was ruined. While my engagement ring was under warranty for all of the above repairs, and true, cost me financially nothing, my trust in this establishment HAD been irreparably damaged.

A ?sterling silver? bracelet was purchased for me as a gift. It was NOT sterling silver, as marked, because it turned as was obviously an inferior metal.

In closing this review I would like to state that I have checked with several fine jewelers and while most have a policy similar to this one and consider refunds a courtesy, without fail and bar none, they take it on a case by case basis and weigh the situation, and the cost of the item versus losing an established customer?.even small independent fine jewelers.
