LOVE LOVE LOVE THEIR FOOD – I have been missing their food since I moved over to the west side. I can find all kinds of food from Korean BBQ to Pho Soup but no good sushi.

My favorite thing to order from there is a spicy salmon handroll and the Seafood Korean Soup.

The service is exceptional and always the best. Ken is very entertaining behind the sushi counter.

I would recommend getting one of their party platers, those are always good for you and your Friends/Co-workers!

Go and Enjoy!!

One of the best kept sushi secrets on the east side – I don't tend to do reviews, but i've been going to Ken's for years and i can't resist. Unfortunately, they are still one of the best kept secrets on the east side. The service is consistantly top notch. The sushi is always fresh fresh. so fresh there is no smell at all. you can order off the menu or just let Ken get creative. He's created rolls just for us (try out a flaming red head roll). Their non-sushi menu is reason enough to stop in, and always great. This place should be packed 24/7, but you can always get a table. Do yourself a favor and try it out.

Downright bad food – Honestly, I really don't take any pleasure in writing bad reviews. I'm not the type of person who's out for vengeance - especially in the instance of something like a restaurant. However I cannot pretend that the food at Ken Zaburo was enjoyable in any way. I ordered several things...ranging from their "crab pots" to their sunomono salad to their sushi. I tried my best, but I just could finish it. For lack of a better word, it was gross. The crab pots did not have a single piece of crab (or even crab flavor) in them. The cream cheese in them was actually turned - as in curdled. Like they had been made a long, long time ago. The wonton shells were burnt. And the sweet'n'sour sauce was syrupy and tasted like it came from a bottle (not to mention it's neon color). The seaweed in the salad was totally unedible - as in so chewy and dense and hard that I could not physically chew it. I tried for a few bites, but both the flavor and the texture were abhorrent. The sushi was fishy-smelling - as if it were old and not sashimi-grade. In fact just standing in the lobby of the restaurant it smelled gross. When I arrived to pick up my order, even though the dining room was almost empty, I waited more than 20 minutes for my to-go order (although it had been placed 30 minutes before). I love Japanese food - from the affordable and awesome Hana in Capitol Hill to the upscale, more pricey places like Umi, Red Fin, and Izumi. I cannot, in good faith, recommend this restaurant, its food, or the service in any way, shape, or form. Sorry! Save your money!
