EXPENSIVE! – Chuck, his wife, and his staff are very friendly and knowledgable about all cars, especially oldies. The problem is, he's super expensive. So BE CAREFUL! You'll talk to Chuck and totally trust him, as I did, and he'll take care of all the things you need done on your car. But the bill will be more than what you expect. I took my 60s car in for a brake adjustment and oil change, and paid 8x more than what I paid at my now new mechanic, Crown Auto in West LA. So beware, the service (both auto and customer) were good at Chuck's, but be prepared to pay a premium for it.
Best mechanic in town – I've been taking cars to Chuck for a long time now, from a 68 Chrysler to a 2001 Mazda SUV. He's the most trustworthy mechanic around. Several times I've taken my car in there to get work done, and where a lot of mechanics would have "found" something wrong with it, Chuck give his honest opinion with what needs and doesn't need to be done.
And don't be intimidated by all the classic cars out front. He'll work on new cars just as much as old cars. The great thing is, if he can't get it fixed there, he'll send you to someone that you can trust because Chuck recommends them.
He can get very busy, so make sure you call before bringing your car in there.
