We have been using Chris and The Appliance Guys for almost 4 years now. First at our old home and now at our new. He has always been quick to get to us, easy to communicate, and thorough and upfront. He has serviced our oven, washer, dryer and dishwasher at our old home and now our dishwasher at our new home. On the occasion that a part needs to be replaced he always shows me the new part, the old part once removed, and then leaves the old part with the packaging from the new part with me. I have never felt a shady vibe at all. I find his pricing to be very fair, and I have even compared his part pricing vs what I can get on my own. We have one appliance repair company, and that is The Appliance Guys.
I have used Chris twice in the last month--once for refrigerator, & today for washing machine. I would highly recommend his service & company to anyone.
1. He will actually call you back if you leave a message
2. Will call you when he is on his way to your location--no waiting around from 8-12 or 12-4 for other repair companies
3. Polite, clean, knowledgeable, & works with a purpose
4. Very reasonable for both calls and repairs--while there ended up being no parts involved, each call was under $70
I honestly would not think of calling anyone else in the future.
Chris came to my house this morning to diagnose my washing machine. After just a few minutes he determined that I needed either one or two parts replaced. When the first part only fixed one problem but not the other, he came back and asked my permission to proceed installing the second. After another half hour, he let me know that, although the two parts he installed had fixed the problem, my pump was leaking and would need to be replaced as well. Without even asking, he took the newly installed parts out and told me that due to the cost of replacing all three parts, I would be better off buying a new unit.
He could have easily installed the two parts, taken my money, and left, waiting for me to call again when I noticed the washer leaking some months down the line. I would have been none the wiser. But instead he took the high road, charging me only for the service fee.
The Appliance Guys is now on my list of contacts and will be the first place I call when I need any of my appliances serviced.
We own several rental properties and are fortunate to have found Chris to repair our appliances. He is courteous, prompt, dependable, and knows what he's doing. He has performed several repairs for us and has always charged what he quoted us. Reasonable rates, too!
Best experience EVER!!!! Chris is the nicest most professional repairman I have ever met! Fast, reliable and cheap! Trust me, I wouldn't go ANYWHERE else!!!!

They are Amazing – I dont know what the other persons problem was, but I used this repiar service and Chris was wonderful. He was very curteous and polite. He explained the repair and the charges were much cheaper than we were quoted from other companies. I'd definately recommend him to all my friends and family!
Worst experience with a repairman ever! – My husband and I were quoted $289 to replace our shattered glass top stove and after Chris replaced the stove top (10 minutes at the most), he took my credit card and informed me that the charge would be $410.77. At this point, my credit card info had already been taken and when I asked him why it was not the $298 that he quoted us, he said that he had told us that it would cost that much and quickly left. Meanwhile, I had a receipt with no business name, number or any information for that matter. I could not read what he had written on the paper other than the ridiculous amount of money he charged me. He also left the broken stove top in my kitchen floor along with a floor covered in broken glass and he proceeded to track the broken glass all the way to the front door. Trying to do the right thing and thinking that perhaps this guy had just started his business and made a huge mistake, I spoke with my husband and credit card company then gave Chris a call in order to give him the chance to right his wrong. He proceeded to tell me that my husband was lying to me about the quote which is absolutely absurd because (besides my husband not having to lie about such a thing) we could have purchased the same stove, brand new for $469 OR paid $269 at Sears (we contacted GE and the stove top only costs about $200)-we only went with The Appliance Guys AKA Chris because he could come out a few days sooner than Sears could (we figured, for $20, we wouldn't have to wait a week to have our stove running again). He also said, and I quote, "do what you have to do" when I informed him that I would be disputing the charge with my credit card company since he was unwilling to reimburse me for what he overcharged. He is arrogant, unprofessional and dishonest. This is the first time I have ever had a problem with a repairman. In the past, they have always been upfront about costs, cleaned up after the job is completed and hauled away old parts. Thanks to this guy, I'm going to be very afraid to let anyone come into my home again-I'd rather learn how to make home repairs myself!
I did some research and found out that this guy has accounts with contractor websites in collections and that I'm not the only person who has had such a horrible experience with him. Apparently, he does several good jobs to make up for the people who he rips off to keep his reviews and referrals up. I suppose he needed to pay a bill and that's why he overcharged me so much.
