STAY AWAY!!!! – HORRIBLE. BEWARE OF KYNNIE OR HOWEVER SHE SPELLS HER NAME. SHE'S EXTREMELY CONDESCENDING AND RUDE ALTOGETHER. Constant office turnover, which tells you somethings up in there.. APARTMENT FEATURES LOOK GREAT AT MOVE IN, AND START BREAKING WITHIN MONTHS. THEY ALSO LIED TELLING US WE US WE WERE THE FIRST INHABITANTS OF THE UNIT... SO YOU CAN IMAGINE OUR SURPRISE WHEN WE MOVE INTO A FILTHY UNIT, AND CONTINUE TO RECEIVE MAIL FROM THE PREVIOUS TENANT. Impossible to find parking, no assigned Parking spots in the parking garage. So good luck finding parking after 8pm. Security is a joke. The guard us always either asleep in his car, or absent all together. CONSTANT BREAK INS... Both in the actual units, and cars as well. Seeing as how everyone needs a clicker to enter the property, it's obviously an inside job. No rent drop box anymore, because they're too lazy to check it. You have to physically deliver it to them. So good luck if you work a 9-5 job, seeing as how they open at 9, and close at 5 (don't count on them staying till 5 though, I've gone by the office once around 4:30, and they were already gone)
AWEFUL! – This apartment complex is a horrible place to live in. Apartments are broken into almost on a weekly basis. When you have a situation at hand, the office staff says they will work on it and they will get back to you as soon as possible and you will never get a call back. You call and ask to speak to the manager and they say he is "working on something" and can't come to the phone. I pay for a reserved parking space monthly and someone is always parked in my space. The office is yet to "resolve" this issue. There is a towing sign up on the garage entrance that says towing enforced but the office staff says their is "no towing enforced in the building". Then why is there a sign up in the garage and why do I pay monthly for a parking space. This is the most unprofessional establishment I have come across thus far. I can't wait to turn in my 60 days notice.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE – My experience with this apartment complex has been a nightmare. The apartment's management is some big corporate monster so they basically are super nice to you in the beginning then once you have signed a lease you become nothing. The office staff are not friendly and not sympathetic. They would take your first-born child if that was all you had to your name.
At least once a month, a notice is left on all apartment doors about recent burglaries in the building. This is too frequent for my tastes. They also warn that to prevent being burglarized avoid leaving notices on your apartment door - yet they place notices on your doors all of the time...
The complex is very noisy. The pool is supposed to close at 10pm but people remain well past midnight and make their presence known. Also, either they only lease the upper level apartments to elephants or sound insulation is terrible. Likely the latter because this is a common complaint amongst my first floor neighbors.
The parking situation is also a nightmare. The parking garage is always full and it is unlikely you will find a parking spot on the same level as your apartment - UNLESS you want to pay extra for a specified spot. This place is very good at robbing you blind - whether through poor security measures and frequent burglaries or finding different ways to charge you more money.
I am very unhappy with my experience with this apartment complex. I am only one opinion but none of the people I have met over the past year have signed on for a second year. That should be an indication of the general dissatisfaction among tenants. The same seems to be true for the office staff - every time I have to visit the leasing office (something I dread) I am faced with new employees. What happens to the old ones? I can't imagine there is that much upward mobility in the apartment industry these days.
Don't be fooled by the pretty faces in the leasing office and the friendly treatment. The friendly treatment ends once you sign a lease and pretty faces aren't so pretty when you've seen their true selves. Look at other website ratings and I think you will find other people who share my opinions.
Worst Management/Do not Live Here! – First off the staff at this complex are no where near qualified to work there. They have been through numerous employees since I have lived here. All of them have no business sense and give the wrong information just so you will leave them alone. They are unorganized, they do not care about the residents safety, or the cleanliness of the property. I swear one of the managers came to work drunk on multiple occasions.
If you are thinking of living here I would certainly reconsider your decision. Yeah the apartments inside are nice, but you still want to have a good experience while living there. I personally think for the amount of money it cost to live here it is not worth it.
This place not safe and management contributes to it. – I have lived here for about 5 months now. Month or two ago this place was plagued by burglaries and car break-in's and thefts despite the mediocre security measures. But I suppose in a busy area anything is vulnerable to crime. My complaint with Domain at Kirby is that their practices are questionable and create unsafe environment. My apartment was entered illegally without my permission or prior authorization while I was away and my inquires for an explanation have been ignored. I have been through a burglary, lost over $20,000 in stolen property through a similar experience in a different apartment complex(Maroneal) hence I take this matter very seriously. This is the letter of complaint I wrote to Domain at Kirby and never heard back from them yet. I am now looking to escalate this matter. Decide for yourself if you want to live at Domain at Kirby with these kinds of management practices which could leave you vulnarable for the unthinkable.
To whom it may concern,
I am writing this email to bring your attention to an issue/complaint that needs immediate
attention. My complaint is as follows:
On Friday, the 24th of December 2010, I received a missed call from the Domain at Kirby leasing
office (at 12:30 central time) informing me that my security alarm had been set off when they
entered my apartment (Apt # XXXX) in my absence. Management states they entered my apartment to place
packages that I had received in the mail. According to legal clause No.28 in the Texas Apartment
association (TAA) leasing contract this is not a valid reason for an unauthorized entry in to the
apartment. As norm would dictate the packages are held in the leasing office for the tenant to
claim. Norm also dictates that a courtesy call or notice be made informing a tenant of pre-planned
apartment entry. I did not even receive a courtesy call informing me that my apartment was being
My complaint here is that the management entered my apartment without prior authorization while I
was away for reasons that are clearly out of the scope of the reasons that management may use to
enter an apartment/premise as mentioned in the TAA leasing contract, clause No.28.
In addition, when I inquired as to the reason why the apartment was entered without authorization, I
was told by the leasing agent, and I quote "we can enter the apartment for whatever reason we want,
as long as we leave a note that we did so.". I would like to remind Domain at Kirby that statements
like these made by the leasing agent representing your business are not only incorrect but can also
make Domain at Kirby liable for breach of contract and responsible for any missing items or theft
that may have occurred.
I consider the actions of the Domain at Kirby management office to be a breach of contract and I am
very willing to challenge this action in the legal arena, if needed.
Having been through a recent burgalery experience and having lost thousands of dollars of stolen
property in a similar experience, I consider this to be a very serious issues.
(1) I request an explanation justifying the above actions in the context of the TAA leasing
(2) I also request a policy clearly be outlined for the proper procedure for property entry in the

Talk to the management about the cable and internet – Talk to the management about cable and internet CLEARLY before you sign the lease. Make sure if you have to pay anything extra other than that monthly "$75"
