Great Music – I was excited to see Tower of Power at Buster?s since my first Tower concert was a bit of a disappointment: I had seen them back in ?09 at Newlin Hall in Danville and could hear absolutely zero bass. Buster?s is a big place. Too bad the parking lot wasn?t because the lot was full when I arrived and they were asking people to park behind Rupp Arena. The line was wrapped around the building and the band didn?t take to the stage until 9:20, 50 minutes late. Unfortunately for the audience, rows of fold-up chairs separated by about five feet made for an inefficient use of space: the other 80% of the audience was forced back or to the sides, making viewing difficult. It was hot the entire night - at one point the singer referred to the lights as "rotisserie lights." I think getting started late and having to endure the temperature made Tower a little less than thrilled, but they put on a great show nonetheless.
