Beautiful Gowns – Priscilla's has the most beautiful gowns around and the store is gorgeous! Some of the staff is less than desirable but the most annoying part of trying to work with them is never being able to get through on the phone! No one ever answers and it takes them days to return your calls. So, in my opinion the dresses are worth the annoyance but be prepared :)
Pushy Pushy! Painful Experience! – I would not recommend this boutique to my worst enemy. The staff believe that their merchandise (and themselves) are better than anywhere else. They would push for me to put on dresses that I had determined I did not want and continued to push my buget as though that were not a problem. It was painfl enough in the shopping experience that I cannot imagine the suffering should you actually buy a gown from them. Advice: It is your wedding, not the POB staff's wedding - you should not feel pressured into buying one of their gowns!
FANTASTIC experience!!!! Wonderful, wonderful staff! – I cannot thank Priscilla's ENOUGH for the wonderful work they did helping my sister (I am her MOH). Not only are these gowns beautiful, but their customer service is unrivaled.
To give a brief background, my sister had a custom made gown from Alexia's Bridal which was butchered by their seamstress. After dealing with Alexia herself and her complete unwillingness to help rectify the situation, my sister began looking for her second wedding dress with LESS THAN 2 MONTHS to her wedding. Not only did the sales associates of Priscilla's stay late to help my sister, they also only showed her gowns in her price range (she literally lost 3K on her first gown), and gowns that could be ready by December 1 for photos. The women of Priscilla's bent over backwards to hep my sister out!
She ended up buying one of their gowns, and the entire staff was such a joy to work with each and every time. They had EVERYTHING done (alterations, bussel, steamed) within a month. They were so kind and helpful throughout this entire experience. Unlike Alexia's, I knew I could trust that my sister would be in good hands if I couldn't make it to a bridal appointment.
My ONLY regret was that this store was not around in January when my sister bought her first dress. Nevertheless, I am so happy that my sister will now be wearing a stunning gown that she will have fond memories of. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I would beware of Hlockwood's review. I am nearly certain she is an employee of Alexia's.
Nothing Special – I recently go married and while Priscilla's was not open when I went shopping for my gown, I did visit the store with one of my friends who is engaged. It is a pretty store and is located in a nice shopping area in Raleigh. That seemed to be the only thing really good about our experience. The staff were not very knowledgeable and were extremely pushy. It seemed like our consultant's only concern was to sell my friend a gown. I've also heard that this store is just part of a bigger chain which would help explain things. There is better quality and service in the area if you are a Bride looking for her dream gown.
