My Favorite Cardio Class! – Over the past several months I have been taking cardio classes offered by various martial arts studios in the LA area. I want a class that can make me sweat and at the same time teach me how to kick butt! From strength training, kicking, punching, stretching and various other activities, I pick White Tiger Kung Fu. Several instructors are present so slackers are kept to a minimum and everyone gets the personal attention required to execute these technical steps properly. Check it out for yourself; it's worth your time.
Hijacked – I studied with this school for a few of years. Really respected them. Integrity now seems to be an issue. I asked for a refund and was refused. I have filed a complaint with The Better Business Bureau.
Cardio Kick-Boxing will get the job done! – I take the Cardio Kick Boxing class on the 3 days offered during the week: Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 7:30pm and Saturdays @ 12:pm.
This is a VERY intense class and we go for an entire hour! If you want to drop weight, get in great shape, build your endurance or/and stamina, come and test out this class. There is a 1 time free visit that you can take advantage of and Dennis, the instructor, is awesome.
Aside of kicking our own butts into shape, we have lots of fun! Everyone is really nice and pleasant, which is always refreshing.
You're not being judged, graded , or singled out for doing the best you can in this class. All Dennis asks is that you do your best!
Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed.
Oh! And as long and you're mindful of profanity, you can bring in your favorite playlists to workout to with the class.
Bring a small workout towel! You're gonna need it. And don't forget that ever so vital water, you're going to need that just as much as your towel ;-)
We get about 2 water breaks, and I do mean breaks, as in short, for the duration of the class. And every workout session is totally different. We do kicks and punches, jabs and elbow strikes. Weights are also incorporated in the workouts. We also do dips, pull ups, squats, lunges, wall sits, 30-second push-ups/down...and lots more. Oh and warm up stretches before and after...so necessary.

And let me not forget to mention, parking. VERY easy and accessible. There's plenty of street and meter parking, as well as the subterranean parking which is free for the hours during class. Perfect!

Real Internal Kung Fu – White Tiger Kung Fu is a rare gem. This is one of the only complete internal kung fu systems in the world - perhaps the only one available to the public. 6th generation Grandmaster Doo Wai is the current keeper of the art, and holds all the original information from the Shaolin Temple.
The instruction is top quality. Both Sifu Thomas Rizzo and Dennis Wood are closed door disciples of the Grandmaster. Students receive a great deal of personal attention. Since training at White Tiger, I have never felt stronger or more in shape. I have noticed over time that I now have faster reflexes, a greater sensitivity to my surroundings and confidence in the ability to defend myself. The internal qigong training is amazing - White Tiger students who train iron palm can break multiple coconuts with their bare hands! It's awesome!

Great classes! – White Tiger Kung Fu is a great martial arts school. I am a beginner and I am really enjoying the classes. I have also lost a little weight since I have been going there !
Non-commercial, boutique studio on west side – I've tried a lot of kung fu places on the west side and this is by far the best one. Reasonably priced and great variety of training - in addition to kung fu, they have yoga, meditation, cardio classes, mma... Great zen atmosphere. Really cool people, very friendly students - it's like "Cheers" but with kicking instead of drinking!
