My sisters and I met there for a girls weekend. Went to Kittery for shopping and back to the motel after a great dinner. Enjoyed it so much we plane on doing it twice a year.

Thanks for a great place to stay.

This hotel is clean, the serving staff is very helpful, and the location is perfect for all types of attractions. They also have a great continental breakfast. There is some construction going on in the area but you can get around that without any trouble. Downtown is about two miles away and Hampton Beach is fifteen miles up the road.

Our second stay at this Inn. We were very impressed the first time around and have no reason to change our mind. The bed was still the softest I've ever encountered and I still didn't like that but it was clean and fresh and a lot of people might find 'soft' to be perfect.

The area around the Inn is being built up and that is a good sign. It is about 10 minutes from downtown Portsmouth making it very handy. Staff were pleasant, room was spotless, corridors were spotless, extra towels in closet along with extra pillows.

Again we didn't use the breakfast or the pool but if they are as good as the rest of the Inn then...

A fine place to stay.

We arrived on a rainy night and the first thing we noticed was that major construction was taking place in front of the hotel. It looked like several new buildings were going up. We found the hotel's entrance on the side and quickly entered the hotel. The front desk was friendly and we saw the breakfast room included two room as we checked in. We were happy with our spacious room that was appointed with colonial style furniture. We saw the past guests had abused the sofa and desk chair because they obviously sat down in wet bathing suits and left stains. The sofa was also pretty dirty. Other than those abuses, we found the room clean and the bed unbelievably comfortable. Our room had a microwave and fridge hidden in the console where a flat-screened TV sat. The shower was great for me, although I'm only 5' 4", so my husband, who is almost 6' had trouble. We noticed in the morning when we drew the curtains back that construction workers were busy outside but we never heard them working. Great windows! Breakfast was the typical Comfort Inn fare, which is not a complaint. Some of the guests should have better etiquette and put shoes on their feet and clothes on their bodies before they show up for breakfast. Pajamas and bare feet are not appetizing for breakfast. Perhaps a little sign like: please wear shoes and street clothes, would be nice. But that aside, this hotel was a good choice. It is not right off the highway, and instead you have to wind into town a bit, and then it's a short drive to the city center. We didn't have a problem with that at all. If we're in Portsmouth again, we will stay here.

Nice and clean rooms. Beds were very comfortable. Desk was very helpful. Needs a little updating inside. They are redoing the outside areas so there was some construction noise. But otherwise a comfortable stay.

Over the past 3 years I have had to stay in Portsmouth at least one week of the year. I wish I could stay longer as this Comfort Inn exceeds the standard of the Choice Hotel chain.Again... Every year they are consistently on top!

I have stayed in 14 different Choice Hotels from Delaware to NH and this is the cleanest; most polite; most well managed Hotel you will find.

Rebecca the front desk evening employee is exceptionally nice and professional.

The breakfast are is always stocked and clean and is a pleasure to eat in.

You're foolish to go anywhere else in the Portsmouth area!

This place meets all the standards of a very good Comfort Inn however, the BIG PLUS is the wonderful heated indoor swimming pool. I do laps almost every day. The pool was large enough to do laps (so many are so tiny) and the temperature was wonderful.

The staff was friendly and accommodating.

I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

My wife and I travel quite often to get away so we have visited many hotels. I found the Comfort inn to be a great choice if you are looking for a clean, comfortable, and friendly place to stay. The room was immaculate, spacious and pleasant to look at. The bed was so soft and comfortable so we found it easy to get a good night sleep. The bathroom shower was excellent with plenty of hot water and the bathroom was perfectly clean. There were no odd or foul odors anywhere in the hotel which is a real turnoff for me. Some say the hotel is dated...I don't think so. Everything in the hotel is like new from carpeting to furniture. The only thing that can be considered dated is the actual structure of the building. But even that was freshly painted probably within the last few years. All in all... This is a great choice for price, comfort, location, and amenities. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The staff was very friendly, and made me feel very comfortable. I normally stay at hampton in monday-thursday throughout Maine/ New Hampshire/ Mass/ RI/ Conn/ NJ. I prefer Hampton Inn because they offer a breakfast in a bag, as a business women I enjoy the quick muffin, granola bag, and bottle of water on the run. This option wasn't available at this Comfort Inn. They also offer a lap computer table which I use in bed while doing my paperwork at night. The Comfort Inn was equally as nice in other ways, I just find it didn't cater to the business person. I would however (when located in a convenient area) not hesitate to use this hotel chain in the future.
