Love this place!!! – This is my favorite place to eat in the Wallingford area, and beyond. The place is amazing, straight out of Thailand, and the food is great. The lounge downstairs is awesome, perfect for you and yours to hang out and have a drink and some awesome Thai food. The Phad Thai is the house specialty, and it is incredible. Of course all the rest of the classics, and some of the not so classic dishes for the more adventurous are good too! My wife and I go whenever we can...Maybe the guy who didn't like the food is not a Thai food person, cause he obviously didn't know what he was talking about...

All looks, no substance – For all the fuss they put into the decor, you would think they would have left a little something to put into the cooking. But no, this place is long on decor, short on flavor, and very high priced.

I got a shrimp dish. For $17 I got exactly six shrimp in a lackluster sauce, had to pay extra for rice. My date's food was bland and overpriced as well.

This restaurant is the culinary equivalent of the super hot-looking babe who makes you spend all your money but still won't sleep with you.

Bland – I wasn't impressed. I read all these reviews saying how great it was, I was really disappointed. I felt like the menu was small...I couldn't find any Thai staples at all. I ended up ordering Phad Thai (which I hate doing) and it was BLAND.

MAY FOR ALL MONTHS – I've enjoyed May three times since they opened in Wallingford. And it's been a treasure every time. I only wish I would allow myself more time to enjoy more selections rather than needing to dash off to the Guild 45th for a movie. Appetizers, entrees and other selections are more varied and expertly prepared than most Thai restaurants in the city. The prices are slightly higher, too, but the quality, service and ambience make May a value for both special occassions and everyday hunger needs. And enjoy the dynamic architecture using modern touches synchronized with traditional Thai decor. Although it's true "you can't eat the decor," in this case it matches the other great features of the dining experience. I could go on but trust me -- this is a find.

Best Thai Food around – If you're looking to find the right blend of great food + great atmosphere, look no further. I've never written a review, but felt strongly about sharing my excitement for May. We stumbled across this restaurant about 6 months ago and were drawn in by the unique architecture. Once inside it feels as if you are being transported to another place. Very rustic, warm and an attentive and friendly staff. The Phad Thai is the best I've tasted and find myself craving it as well as their curry dishes. Quite the treat!

Great Place! – Fabulous food in a inimate setting. Love the atmosphere here. Great cocktails too. I had given up on Phad Thai in Seattle. Most taste like ketchup, however, May's is terrific. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

great food – What a surprise! I had walked by this odd looking building a million times and never ventured inside. When I finally did I had an amazing meal and good drinks to boot. Although it was very dimmly lit in the lounge I found myself returning for the food. I was also happy to learn about the live jazz they routinely have. A definate must try.

Exotic and interesting – I first saw this place after a long walk around Greenlake. Wow I was suprised how nice it was inside! This is a great place to take anyone you want to impress -- the furnature on the first floor is perfect for an intimate dinner while upstairs looks like a perfect place to go with relatives or business partners. We ordered some Pud Thai and some Pud Prik Khing with beef and they had an interesting spicey taste to them, and maybe a little lime twist. The bar had a lot of exotic looking decorations and was eye catching through the whole meal. They put a lot of effort into building this restraunt with style. The owner, May, was there that day and she was very amiable and greeted us at our table before our meal. Anyways if you want an extraordinary meal after Greenlake, this place can't be beat!

Looks good but... – Not impressed. The food is really so-so, and definitely not authentic. I've been to Thailand, and was raised on Thai food. It's a little pricey, and not very tasty.
