Best Dining Experience in NH – Amazing authentic Italian food, great drinks, and a unique dining experience. From the upscale dining room to the dress down pub, it's a relaxing place for any occasion. Dante's should definitely be added to your list to experience if you're passing through. Say "Hi' to Glenn at the bar!

Will NEVER Go Again! – Horrible service! I have tried this restaurant several times hoping that I will enjoy a meal there, but have been disappointed time after time. I will never eat there again! My husband and I sat in the bar area for 20 minutes with absolutely no greeting from any of the passing wait staff. The owner was behind the bar, saw us sitting there and made no attempt to see if we were being helped. Unbelievable! The food is ok.

Doesn't even deserve one star~ – Wow! What an experience!! And not a good one!! Yes the food was good but we shouldn't have waited an hour and a half from the time the appetizer was served until the food was served. People arrived and left in the time we were just waiting for the meal to be served. I spoke with Dante. He made many excuses but in the end it didn't matter. Our meal should have been comped. I would have been more than happy to pay for drink and app! Taking 20$ off our bill didn't make us feel any better. Yes times are lean and staff has been cut but in the end customer service was no where to be found! I know myself and the people I was with will no longer visit this restaurant. And Dante can be assured I will spread the word of his lack of care and concern for his customers!

Slow and bland – I have given Dante's my business 3 times, and never again 3 strikes and you are OUT. All three times the service was very, very slow and the food was bland, pasta over cooked, and just over all disappointing. The most recent and my last visit ever, my wife and I arrived at 5:00 on a Saturday. We were seated right away and the restaurant was half empty. Our drink order was taken right away and delivered within 2 minutes. Our waitress then took our appetizer order. Great much faster then my previous 2 visits. 20 minutes later she returned to take our dinner order. 20 minutes after that my wife commented that they must have forgot our appetizer order. She was going to mention it, I told her to forget it cause I did not want the app and dinner arriving at the same time, about 10 minutes after this conversation the waitress arrives with our app!!! It took almost an hour to get a simple appetizer. It was the calamari and it was soggy with oil and barely warm and mostly tubes, with one or two tentacles. We ate maybe half then just could not stomach the bland tasteless app any more. The waitress left the plate on our table for a good 20 minutes after it was obvious we were no longer touching it. Finally our food arrived about 20 minutes after the app plate was taken away. My wife had a pasta with tomato's and a side of meatballs I had a pasta dish with mussels. The meatballs were cool and truly tasteless, the mussels smelled funny and the pasta in both our dishes was overcooked to the point of guminess. We ate some of our plates but each left more than half behind. Then sat and waited for a good 30 minutes before we saw out waitress again. Keep in mind the restaurant had plenty of open table so busy was not a reason for the delays. Oh and I always use this to judge any restaurant from a local diner to a high end $200 dinner in Washington DC, and that is the amount of time my water glass sits empty. Well at Dante's it was filled once and was empty 90% of the time. When she came to take our half filled plates she asked if we wanted packed up to go home, and polity said, "No" then she gave us a weird look and I heard her commenting about the waste of food as she walked away. After she took our plates she came back after 7 minutes, at this point we were timing it, asking about dessert or coffee, no way at this point, and we asked for the check, which took 22 minutes and 38 seconds to get to use. This experience was similar to our two our two previous visits. We made excuses for those previous visits and gave it a 3rd and now final try. To cap it all off we missed an 8:00 movie that is just across the street. Luckily we had a $100 gift certificate that was given as a work bonus for my wife. we left the certificate on the table for the $73 bill and walked out.

What I believe to be a trully Italian dining experience. – Dante's is an italian restaurant that leaves the sheeps tongue out of it's authenticity without throwing out the spicyness, or toning down the flavor of the menu for the wider acceptance of the crowd. They have the wines, and the food all year round, but I believe that the best time to visit them is in the outdoor season, when you can eat outside in what I would think is the best representation of summer dining would be in smallville Italy.

Always wonderful! – It is the perfect pick when you want great italian food and wine without the crowds and parking issues of Portsmouth or Dover. However, we always come here not only for convience but because the food, service and ambience has always impressed us far more then other local Italian establishments. Highly recommended.
