Lucky Strike Restaurant

Try happy hour (daily 4-6pm and 9pm-close) at this high energy, high-spice Szechuan spot set inside Hawthorne Theater, you can make a very affordable meal of the dan dan noodles, sauteed baby bok choy, and seafood pancake. Glasses of house bubbly & 22oz Sapporos just $4!

The food FANTASTIC- gotta try the ribs.

The one star rating? My waitress wrote 'remember to tip 20%' on my payment slip. I dont have any idea the tight wads that servers deal with and I dont want to hear the stories but DO NOT tell me what to tip you- ever. I am a BIG tipper- I wouldnt want to do that job but the minute you tell me what to tip- you get nothing.

If this happens again here or at another location- I wont sit quietly for it.

I was left with a large pile of whistle-clean bone fragments and a smile as wide across as the Columbia.

I was so glad I took a chance on these! Perfect pork ribs, IMO, are those where the slow-cooked meat, fat, tendon and cartilage melt and merge into a single and unified whole. Such ribs, along with spectacular sunsets, are the only things I miss about my Texas childhood. But they
