A great drycleaner – Noi have been using gateway for years. Was very surprised to read bad manager /owner . I have always been taken care of very professionally and with care. Neil is there mostly all mornings. Staff is mostly nice. My French cuff shirts are done better than anywhere else. I have tried several others here and there but gateway is no contest the best. My daughter took in her wedding gown that was cleaned elsewhere but not satisfactory but gateway did a amazing job on it. I find the reviews about bad manager ridiculous and probably not legitimate.
BAD prices, BAD job, BAD customer service - BAD experience – I took my ball gown in to get it cleaned before wearing it to the Marine Corp Ball in Virginia. They charged me double what they estimated over the phone (annoying but understandable).
Somehow they managed to take out the zipper along the seam, continuing down about 2 inches past where the zipper ended. However, instead of telling me about it, they let me pay and walk out with it that way. When I saw it at home, I took it back and said that we had a problem...
They offered to fix it for me but told me that I'd have to talk to the manager when I asked for my money back. I called the next morning and asked to speak to the manager, only to be told that he had "just left" and would be "in and out all day." Although I left my contact information and a message, he never called me back. When I went to pick up my "fixed" dress hours later, he wasn't there either.
When I again asked for a refund for all of the stress caused, they refused to give me my money saying that THEY didn't rip it. I asked if they were telling me that I brought in a pieced dress for cleaning and then asked them why I would do that. Like very good politicians they responded that they weren't saying that I ripped it, but they didn't do it...so I guess that means that the seam-ripping fairies got their hands on my dress when nobody was looking. They pointed out that they fixed my dress (like they had done me a favor) and sent me home. Of course, the "fix" that they did left threads sticking out to get caught in the zipper, obvious stitching over detailed lace, and was a really sloppy job in general.
After all the hassle, I sent my gown to a proper seamstress and wore a different dress to the ball. Luckily, we were able to catch the owner (after they thought they had gotten rid of me, I guess) and he paid for the fix.
I suppose they were friendly enough, but I will never ever go back there.
Best DryCleaning and service! – No need to say much about this Cleaners. It is just all good. It is just all great!!! Friendly staff, convenient access and location, quality cleaning and good tailoring service.
The Best Drycleaners!! – The service and staff is excellent. There quality is impeccable. Reliablity is tremendous. Not your typical Drycleanining place. From the decor to the staff, owners and services offered this is thee best place. We are not generally reviewers but had to let everyone in on this place. Owners there a lot and there staff is very friendly. Very exceptional.
Terrible Manager/Owner - Beware of Hidden Fees – I had the same experience with the owner/manager. Never returned my call, never there! I We were loyal and happy customers, until recently. I used to have my shirts laundered. I came to pick up my shirts and I noticed an additional 3.75 charge. The girl at the counter, the large one stated that she could not give me my shirt unless I paid the full price. They added 3.75 to my claim without asking me or calling me. Neil is a pompous man who stated that he doesn't want my business anymore. Fine, Neil Patel! I will never do business with you. There are plenty of dry cleaners in Brea. So the blame here is solely on Neil Patel's shoulders. So be careful of what you take to Gateway Cleaners. Be aware of his hidden fees. And good luck trying to find him!
Terrible Manager/Owner – We were loyal and happy customers, until recently. We took our comforter to be cleaned and during the cleaning process the comforter was snagged. We pointed this out to Neil Patel (Manager/Owner) and he said that he would have his seamstress fix it. Not a problem, we would wait a few days to pick it up. When we returned to pick it up, on Saturday, we could see that the repair work was not acceptable. It looked like a jumble of thread. We asked to see Neil and were told that he would call us back on Monday. We never received the call. I then called up Gateway and was told that he would be in on Tuesday from 10 to 2. I called Tuesday at 11:30 and was told that he just left. I have subsequently left messages everyday and he still has not returned my calls. So now I am out, not only the dry cleaning cost, but I am out a comforter. I guess if you ever have an issue, with the service at Gateway, the way Neil deals with it is by ignoring you until you go away. The staff has been very nice and have been told not to give out any contact information for Neil. They have told me that they have left him all of my messages. So the blame here is solely on Neil Patel's shoulders. So be careful of what you take to Gateway Cleaners.
Awesome Cleaners, not a typical drycleaner. – Moved to town and was searching for a new cleaners and have found an exceptional DRYCLEANER! Gr8 attitude and beyond normal in quality and pricing, exceptional.

We now make it a point to go to Brea and hang out there just so we can utilize Gateway Cleaners great service, staff and quality at the most reasonable prices.
