Stay Away ! – We visited the Art Rock Creation showroom, picked out granite, and received a competitive quote. They came to my home and made a template, and we gave them a 50% deposit. The following day, Art Rock Creations told us that they no longer had the granite we selected. This was a classic case of “Bait & Switch”. We did not want to change the granite color, and asked for our deposit back. We have yet to receive it.
I have never been to Small Claims Court, but I guess there is a first time for everything. I rated them 1 Star because a ZERO star rating was not possible.
Great Selection, Quick and Quality Installations – I had Art Rock do the floors on my main level and basement, all my bathrooms and my powder room and my kitchen twice (After about 5 years I decided I wanted a new color and a completely restructured kitchen). The second time they did my kitchen, I had them completely redo and reshape my island, as well as restain all my cabinets and I received great service and design ideas from the ladies over there about what would look good as a tile backsplash.
They've also done kitchens and bathrooms for a number of my friends over the years who are highly statisfied.
Now that I've moved into a new house, I'm using them for my kitchen and bath yet again. I shopped around and found that other granite companies were the ones with hidden charges ($35/ sq ft + $15 for labor + however much for faucet holes). Art Rock told me up front what all the charges were. They even threw in a free stainless steel undermount sink since I have a large kitchen. (And they have a good selection of sinks for kitchen and bath, too) The granite that was in my house when I bought it was deplorable: unfinished/unpolished edges, thin material, large and visible seams, plumber's glue inside my bath sink basins, I had to get rid of them. I'll gladly pay a bit more for Art Rock because I've seen the quality of their work first hand and they spare no detail! Not to mention they are still in business a decade after I had them do my first house.
Buyer beware! – Be careful for hidden charges which are not disclosed until time of installation. They are very difficult to work with.
