Total HVAC came to my home and and gave it a thorough evaluation on energy efficiency. They pointed out areas where energy loss is costing me money and made reasonable recommendations on how solving the issues would save me hundreds on my utility bills every year. It was well worth it - I've already seen a difference.
The tech was on-time, pleasant and informative. Great company to work with.
We've used Total HVAC twice - Once for our duct work & new units and just recently for a plumbing issue. We've been extremely pleased with their service. I highly recommend these guys
I have seen some poor reviews of this company; our experience was different. We had major ductwork redone. They did a good job. Their pricing was competitive with the other 3 quotes we got from other companies. They weren't the highest bid or the lowest. We added a few items to the work after they were here. I was afraid they might take advantage of that situation to overcharge, but they did not. The pricing given for additional items on the site (such as dryer duct repair) was fair. We did not have any mechanical work done that required a technician of that type, so I can't comment on that. For general ductwork I would highly recommend them. They redid some work done by another company last winter that was quite shoddy. The other company did not even connect our metal main in the garage in every place; there was a gap of 2-3 inches that they just tried to "hide" from us with insulation. That company did not respond to repeated calls. Total HVAC fixed it. They did good work and the pricing was fair.
Caution – I have mixed feelings. Overall, Total HVAC did a good job; and, they were cordial/professional. They were even willing to help out on an issue I was having, and didn't charge me a thing. However, I am not sure I will use them again because of repeated quality issues. I signed up for their maintenance plan and used it a couple of times. The first time in the winter, the tech left and the heat started climbing past what was set on the thermostat by 10-15 degrees! Total HVAC sent the tech back (almost immediately) and he found that my thermostat was fried. The second time in summer, the tech left and my unit would cool for about 20 minutes, stop cooling, cool again, etc. I had to wait until the next day this time, but a different tech came back and found a wire was not correctly installed, so it was shorting the unit. With all that said, Total HVAC did not try to charge me for the repairs, or try to say it was something I had done. I commend them for that.
But, the bottom line is this: to experience two quality issues in a row is a bit concerning. So, good company, but they need to work with certain technicians on the quality of their work, and, making sure everything is in working order before they leave. I wish them much luck.
