First impressions are everything. It should have been a red flag when he answered the phone by saying hello. I had to ask him who I was calling. The customer service is VERY non-professional. You do not want this company to do anything to your landscaping or sprinkler system. He quoted me a price but failed to mention the $75 dollar hourly service fee. When I called and asked him about it he told me he tells everyone about it.I have a very good memory and I KNOW HE DID NOT TELL ME THIS. The price he quoted me for the parts was even wrong. When I told him I had no idea about that service fee he told me he has all calls recorded, but when I asked to hear it he told me to pay what I thought was fair.
I have tenants in my house that want to know when someone is going to show up at the house. I had to call him many times to get a date and time as to when he would be there, however he did not show up when he said he would. This happened more then one time. I don't think this company has any idea how to keep a schedule. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE, EVEN SOMEONE I DON'T LIKE. FIND SOMEONE ELSE. ANYONE ELSE.
Manager misrepresented his position, & did not stand behind the prices he quoted on my contract. – I could not agree more with the previous negative review! I moved into a new home, and had the same "Landscapes Unlimited" who put the sprinkler system in two months prior, bid and ultimately do the landscaping project for me. I had 8 shrubs, and 1 tree die, and have only had 2 replaced, which both died as well. I had soft topsoil placed on my birms, and below my walkway, which was never packed and settled up to over 18 inches in places on the birm after being irrigated by the sprinkler system. I had a sandstone wall collapse in three places for the same reason of not packing the dirt installed. I was told by another landscaper that the trees and shrubs died because they were tied tight in double wrapped burlap, without loosening the twine, and in most cases were planted too deep, resulting in drowning. The Landscaper was also shocked that the dirt under the flagstone walk was never packed, nor the birms or even the soil against the wall. The back yard had to be redone because it was never leveled, and the low spots had standing water, which made everything in those spots die. Landscapes Unlimited also graded the back yard towards the house, and when I had the house inspected, the inspector found 3 inches of water under my brand new house. The manager charged me three times the amount I signed the contract for on the entire landscaping job. This job was completed in July, and I will say that it was finished very quickly, but I had to have several items redone that were not only not complete, but I was also guaranteed by the manager that none of the items on our signed contract would go over by $100.00 each, and my total bid went over by triple the final amount. The manager is also incompetent at measuring and bidding my job, as he was off on most of the individual bidding. Horrid Customer Service and Product Installation. – These folks installed the landscaping in my yard prior to my moving into the house. They did not level the ground, the sprinkler system is shoddy at best, and when called they do not come to take care of the situation! I have given them three chances to perform services for me, thinking that this poor service was a fluke, it is not!!!
If you can't tell by the non-professional voicemail greeting when you phone them, take this review to heart. You do NOT want this company working for you for any reason. They do not take care of their customers, nor do they even offer any customer service at all. IF you get to talk to the owner, he will give you an arbitrary time for someone to come out- they will not be there. If you phone him back, he will make excuses and try to make you feel as if you're the one that is in the wrong. A company that wants your money should be more than willing to take care of you before AND after the sale. I have failed to see this company do either for the people that have dealt with them. Please, save yourself the heartache and find someone else to do your yard work. You'll be glad you did.
