A great bridal attire on display, I got it from here and value for money to..............
Words cannot describe how amazing it was working with The Gown Gallery to find my perfect wedding dress! I went in unsure as to what the style was that I was looking for. Within minutes, the saleswoman had pulled a single dress that she thought matched my personality and style. This was the only dress I had to try on... it was the one! Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication in helping make my wedding day perfect. My bridesmaids loved their gowns as well!!!!
I was very happy to find The Gown Gallery. The dress selection is outstanding and I found the perfect dress! I would recommend this place to any bride, Overall, it's definitely a great place for beautiful wedding dresses.
My appointment was nothing short of PERFECT! I managed to actually get an appointment the day that I called to ask if they had my dress in stock. There are only 2 stores in my city that are authorized vendors for my dress and they had it in stock for me to try on. When I walked in the door I was greeted by a warm and friendly welcome. My appointment started on time the moment I walked in the door as well! Megan Allen assisted me and she was spectacular! Not only did she make me feel comfortable she focused her undivided attention to me and finding that perfect dress. (I'd went to another store previously and it was annoying being left alone while the representative tended to 2 other clients as well.) The Gown Gallery goes the extra step to enhance your experience by offering you beverages, I thought this was a very nice touch. While deciding which size to get for my dress, Megan suggested that I try on the dress again and brought in the owner of the shop to get a 2nd opinion to make sure I got the perfect option for me. This was an extra step that she didnt have to do and I appreciated her doing that. The owner was extremely friendly and she stated that I looked beautiful in my dress which made me feel good. I didnt think the experience could get any better until they offered to match the 15% off for purchasing on the first day like the other store did. I am so happy with my expierience at The Gown Gallery, I will definitely refer others here and purchase the rest of my bridal party's attire there as well. GREAT JOB YOU GUYS!!!!
Accompanied one of my college mates to purchase a dress for prom night. We were first timers here and the way they welcomed us and took care of us was amazing. This only goes to show how much they care for their customers.
Horrible Experience for Me – I order my wedding dress and was told it would be in October 4th. When I hadn't heard from them by the 6th, I called to be told by Gwen, "It just came in." I asked her to overnight it to me as I would not be coming back to KC and had made arrangements to get it tailored in OK. That was a Friday, so I expected to get the dress no later than Tuesday of the next week. When it didn't arrive on Tuesday, I called them on Wednesday and left a message. By Thursday evening I called again, hoping to get a person versus an answering machine. Liz tracked down my dress only to tell me....it was still there! "The UPS man forgot to pick it up" (yeah, right!), "but the owner was hand-carrying to get it out immediately, and I should have it the next day." No surprise when it didn't get there until Saturday afternoon (2 days after I talked to Liz), and the delivery came after the alterations shop was closed. On Monday I immediately went into the alterationist, only to learn that because we'd lost 10 days, they couldn't do the work at the original price and now would have to charge me $450 to $500 to get it ready for my big day!! Called and talked to someone who had the owner (Shari) call me back. The owner was less than understanding or helpful. Message I walked away with was in essence, "Too bad, so sad but it was a special order dress and Gown Gallery would do nothing....no offer to pay the difference on the alteration cost they caused by not ensuring it made it to me overnight on the 6th....no offer to take it back with a restocking fee....nothing - zip, zilch, nada! If I had the chance to do it again, I'd run as fast as I could in the opposite direction! (By the way, I'm wearing a dress I bought at Dillards now. At least it has good karma - unlike stuff coming out of the Gown Gallery.)
Dresses were FOUR WEEKS LATE!! – I ordered flower girls dresses 12 wks out from the wedding and paid for the expedited order/shipping for both dresses. I was guaranteed they would be in in 6 weeks so I would have time for alterations and so my sister (the bride) could see them, in person, while she was in KC (she lives out of the country). I called to check on the dresses a couple days before they were SUPPOSED to be ready and the order had gotten filed incorrectly! I was then told it would only take 2 more weeks to get them rush ordered; however, 4 weeks later the dresses came WITH STAINS!
Horrible customer service! VERY VERY disorganized! Would NEVER recommend anyone getting ANYTHING from them! Horribly over-priced to top it off!
Horrible Customer Service! Beware! – I went to Gown Gallery looking at two different dresses ready to buy. Gwen helped me. She was rude and acted like she wasn't interested in helping me since I had already been to another store. I went all over town looking for a dress. Best customer service at Emily Heart and Ida's hands down. Don't waste your time at Gown Gallery.
Soooo Disappointed - Wedding Dress – I typically am not a complainer, in fact this is my first review, but given the amount of money I spent I expected so much more and would hate for someone else to have a negative experience with their wedding dress.
I will admit I got a late start to looking to some of the pressure to buy was put on myself. Gwen was my saleswomen and she was very absent minded and only showed me about 5 dresses but it took about 2 hours because she was constantly leaving the room and not around. I bought my dress the next day and they did honor the 10% discount.
I have no family in town so about a month later I came back to the store to try on the dress for my sister. Gwen was very rude and said things like we get some brides like that you who have to show everyone (insinuating I was acting like a crazy person for wanting to show my only sister). It was a Friday afternoon and it was empty.
When my dress was getting ready to be shipped (shipping was $250 which they don?t tell you about), I got a phone call saying it would be here in about a week. I did not hear back for 2 1/2 weeks so I called. The woman said yeah it?s been here for over a week. Apparently no one was going to let me know.
I got it altered there and was charged $100 to bussel which entailed sewing 2 ribbons on the interior of the dress so they could be tied together. I went in twice and it still doesn?t fit perfect but its too late now. The 2nd time the alterer was working with someone else and I waited 20 minutes in my dress to have her look at it ? and finally said guess its good. When I told them I was getting married out of town they charged me $20 for a piece of junk garment bag. After spending over $2000 ? they charge me for it!
I wish I was more direct and could have told them off but instead I?ll I can do is warn others not to let this place ruin something that should be fun and exciting.
Beautiful shop, prices explain it! – The gown gallery staff and owner were nice and accomodating to my BM's and I, their shop was beautiful and they had gorgeous gowns. However, their prices are high! They want to charge up to $25 per dress in shipping when they are coming from the same place and being delivered from the same place. I was also told that due to the low price point of a dress I was looking at it would not be eligible for the week long designer sale which would take and additional $15 off of each dress. So I left and went to another store who gave us the additional discount and charged NOTHING to ship the dresses. Guess they have to pay for the up keep of their nice digs downtown.
