Reviews for Williamsburger

Super Juicy and Huge – You have to pay a quarter for the lettuce tomato and onion but it's still a good deal for the house ground burger plus light and crispy fries. Quality beef and great toppings made this the best burger I've eaten in a while. A few reviews I read complained about the service and the chef but when I went the two young blondes waiting were polite and professional and the young asian that prepared my thick and hearty burger was generous with toppings. One word of warning: the burger is so big that you may want to cut it in half in an attempt to eat it in the least messiest way. But still it is so juicy that you will have to put a few napkins under the wire basket the burger is served in to catch the juice that the paper does not absorb.

Bad burger places are not fair – Nothing the city search people say about this burger place is true. After several visits I have come to the conclusion that the Chef is just an embarrassment .the burgers are dry ,bland ,and the bun is sometime soggy or oily. Calling yourself a chef when you cant even make simple burger is an outrage. Maybe its because all his experience is from a hotel. And we all know what hotel food is like .

Williamsburger burger joint promises to "beef up hipsters." – In Short
A mere two blocks from neighborhood favorite DuMont Burger, chef Cory McPherson (formerly of the Grand Central Hotel) is betting that his organic, small-farm raised Hereford beef burgers will be tasty enough to draw away Billyburg meatheads. Despite the casual atmosphere--yellow tabletops, bright lighting and alt-rock on the radio--the small spot gets adventurous with its burger options including the Asian chicken burger and a sesame-crusted tuna burger. McPherson pays homage to Williamsburg's Polish roots with pierogies, alongside more conventional sides like chili fries and onion rings.

Hits: The beef is absolutely top notch, savory with the perfect amount saltiness.

Misses: The decor and atmosphere are almost too casual, with none of the hip Williamsburg panache that locals have come to expect.
