I read all the comments here before I called these guys. The comments almost dissuaded me, and I am glad that in the end they did not. To the contrary of most comments, I had a pleasant experience. I made an appointment for a Saturday, and a tech named Mike came close (albeit about 30 minutes late). He worked on the washing machine for about 30 minutes and told me after that either the problem would be fixed by his repair, or he would need to replace one of two parts that may also have been the problem. The machine was not fixed after his first visit, and when I called back a few days later, they ordered the parts and scheduled a follow up for the next Saturday (based on my avail). He again came on time, was there for 30 minutes, replaced a $70 part and said that the fix had solved the problem. He was right - at lease according to the 5 loads of laundry we immediately did. On top of that, he said he would take the second part he ordered and return it at no charge. I was happy to have worked with them and would not hesitate to do so again.
Stay away form this vendor. Had them at my house on 8/7/2012 to inspect an oven giving off a funny smell when convection was on. Was told by repairman (Craig) unit needed wire harness to be replaced. He said oven should be unplugged because short was dangerous. He was going to price the repair. a week later my wife called and her call was not returned. A few days later I called and was told that that my "ticket" was closed, yet the lady I spoke with (Laura) acknowledged that their records did indicate that I was waiting for a quote. Said she'd reactivate my "ticket". Received a phone message this morning (8/31/2012) that the clock that my oven needs is no longer available so they can't fix my oven. Okay, so the repairman on 8/7 said I needed a harness and now they are telling me that they cannot fix it because they can't get a clock. WTF. I just called them back and got disconnected about 20 times. I finally got through and was told that they were having problem with their phones (good thing they're appliance service company). Turns out it was the owner who found out for me that the clock is unavailable but as to why I need a clock I'll have to wait until he is back in after the three-day weekend to find that out. That will be 8/4/2012 ... almost a month from the service date ... and I still have no idea what is going on.
It's not even the fact that I had to pay $125 for the visit. Even if the repair quote was free I would feel like I was being ripped off. Stay away.
Avoid this company by all means, they are terrible. Indescribably incompetent, rude and not helpful.
THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!! – If you want to have the worst service ever these are the guys to go to! Our dishwasher broke before thanksgiving and it is middle of january and it is still not fixed !!! they never have anybody available. The first time they messed up our service day and we took of for nothing because they did not show up ! we had to reschedule but the next available day was in two weeks had to take another day of... And finally after calling so many times to the customer service they said they will come in today ... suprise suprise nobody scheduled it... and they cant send anybody in of course... i took off work so i can sit home and then argue with them and get nothing ! i wanted to speak with the manager but of course he or she is not there and nobody knows when he will be back so basically i have to reschedule again and take off work again so they will probably not show up again... SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE !
HORRIBLE SERVICE, NO SHOWs, LIARS, INEPT! READ ALL REVIEWS! – The worst experience I've ever had when it comes to service, and if you see any 5 star reviews, assume it's written by the inept employees at this outfit. Our Bosch dishwasher was under extended warranty from Warrantech AKA Repairmaster. American Home Appliance in New Jersey was listed as a service provider. If this is who Warrantech and Repairmaster contract with, I will think twice about buying ANY OTHER contract from WARRANTECH OR REPAIRMASTER! It took FIVE MONTHS to get my dishwasher properly repaired. Originally it was leaking. The guy came out, said it needed a door seal. It wasn't until a month later in early August I realized I hadn't heard from them. Didn't end up getting an appt until after the hurricane, and then it was a nightmare getting hold of them because their office had flooded. Horrible phone system and inept customer service people. Cut to: The guy comes out finally, installs the seal, says it's fine, then it started leaking that night and a day later the motor died mysteriously. So, called again, and this time the guy tells me it's the motor AND another seal. Said a week for parts. ONE MONTH LATER, I schedule the appt, and the repair guy calls in the morning saying he wasn't authorized on the labor so he wasn't coming until it was straightened out. After nightmare phone tag, they end up telling the guy not to go to the service call because they said I should have called their office. Apparently you have to make several confirmation calls. I was so furious I left THREE messages for the owner Joe Mancuso. No call back. Called warrantech and they called, and the jokers call me back WHILE I'm on the phone with Warrantech but wouldn't get on the phone with Warrantech while I was on with them. Then I call back three times and get disconnected after two rings, then get their voice mail. Because parts had been ordered Warrantech wouldn't do anything and today the joker comes again (at least he showed up) and 5 min in proceeds to tell me I have to HIRE someone to take the dishwasher out. IDIOTS! The owner showed (one point for Joe) and handled it. I laughed when he told me they can repair other appliances. Sorry Joe, your company is horrible and your people are lousy at communication and royally wasted my time. Check out other reviews. They are terrible! Fingers crossed I don't have another issue, but if I do, I will NOT work with these people again. TERRIBLE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

There are always two sides to every story – This is in response to Sarah Nichols -Eisenstein review. When people start calling other people names it usually means they have no valid augment. If she was this unhappy she could have spoken to me direct while I was at her home then I could have addressed her concerns. Instead she acted like everything was ok and then wrote this review so I couldn't respond. As far as the repair on her dishwasher she had two separate issues. The first was a bad door seal which we replaced. According to our records we received a call 6 days after the first repair was done. The second repair was a different complaint and the motor was leaking underneath. There are hundreds of parts in a dishwasher so it is no mystery to anyone with common sense you could have a second problem. You have to understand also that you are dealing with two different companies and we have to follow certain procedures,and get authorization before we can order anything . A lot of times parts are on back order and the customer blame us. She was very difficult to schedule which is why it took so long and was nasty to everyone in our office. The day we had scheduled for her appointment she was told we would call in the morning to confirm. The Tech and the office called to confirm and no one answered the phone. We do not send technicians out unless we are sure someone is home. I can not tell you how many times people say they will be there and then not be home. As far as the installation, the dishwasher was jammed in to far and the tech didn't want to damage anything and the customer wouldn't sign a release. It is our policy to have a release signed if the unit is not installed properly. Unfortunately we were displaced from our office for three and half weeks by the flood and we had 18 inches of water in the office. We were working with one phone line and cell phones so It was difficult to contact us. After six weeks we are finally back in. It was a very bad time, and there were delays, and it was a mess to say the least when you have to move out in 30 minutes. We do apologize for any delays but we tried to do the best we could with the situation we were in. I do not think these reviews are fair because you only get one side of the story and a lot of them are old. You should have to give your full name and email address to give reviews. We service more than 10000 customers a year and have been in business more that 25 years. We try to satisfy all our customers but sometimes you just can't. Don't believe anything you read with only one side
HORRIBLE TECHNICIANS – My experience was worse than a root canal right from the beginning! I was originally scheduled for an 8-12pm appt, the tech called the morning of to tell me that there was no way he would be there between those times. He told me the earliest he could reach me would be after 3pm! So I wasted the whole day in the house. Once he arrived the service got more appalling. He was disgruntled because I asked him to show me ID before letting him into my home. In a attempt to diagnose the problem he accused me of being mental, having ghosts in my home, assumed that I was a renter and not the owner of the home and failed to answer any questions I had about the malfunctioning of my washer. He was very rude, abrupt and patrionizing! AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!
Great Service – Very professional and curtious. Office staff and technician were great. would definitely use again for any appliance repair
Horrible customer service! Avoid at all cost! – American Home was supposed to service our dryer but couldn't get their act together. An appointment was made and they called the day of to say they wouldn't make it. They simply weren't available. An appointment was made for the next day and when they didn't show I called to inquire. They insisted that I called them and cancelled the order. It was obviously a mistake but they kept insisting that it was my fault!! They were hostile, angry and very rude. They were not the least bit interested in rectifying the situation and when I asked to speak to a superior they did all they could to keep me from speaking to her. When I finally did speak to the supervisor and told her the store I bought the dryer from agreed with me that their customer service was lacking, she was outraged! She was more concerned with what they were saying and not the fact that they have earned their horrible reputation. Do yourself a favor and look for service elsewhere.
