Hooligans. – I attended a toastmasters club social held at this club. After the social my son, my brother and I decided to get a drink before we left. My son wanted to buy the drinks but I insisted. I ordered the drinks from a female bartender who took my son's ID and disappeared for about five minutes. I inquired about my drinks and the other female bartender gave me 2 drinks and said my son could not drink because they were verifying his ID. MY SON IS 28. The bartender went to the bouncers and they swarmed around him and asked him to step outside. A big bald head DARK man told him that his valid drivers licence was fake and that he had to leave. I intervened and a so called manager named Tracy came. I explained to her that I am his father and we just attended a Toastmasters social. She told me that all the staff had vendor training and she stood by them. They insisted that he leave the property immediately.Since we came together and the car was parked on their property, I obviously would have had to leave. I asked her to refund my money and left. However, it was clear that the staff and bouncers are out of control and the bouncers clearly wanted to escalate the situation and had I not kept a cool demeamour I am sure we would have probably been beaten up and thrown out. I support those say that the establishment has a bouncer problem, I also think it has a management problem. DON'T GO THERE.
these guys run around five strong starting more stuff than anyone in the bar,i ask one of the bartenders to tell my bartender to get me a beer and this guy flips on me and says i dont work that side of the bar i said and tell her to get me a beer,2 seconds later i have five little punk wantabees on my back telling me to leave, when i got into my cab the agresser runs up to the window and tells me to get out his partiner opens the door and says lets see what ur made of.we all know if i would have got out i would have went to jail-- bullys
Gross Again – Wow, I came here to comment about the bugs around the bar and found another poster with the same complaint. After the 2nd bug on my glass and the guy 5 seats away saying one was IN his beer we left. The bartender brushed it off saying the crack on the edge of the bar attracted them and told me to move to another seat. I told her I'd rather leave. Disgusting!! Oh, and they don't have frozen beer glasses - the beer was warm!!
nice place to hang out! – We had guys night out there on my birthday and had a great time! We drank lots of beer and met some new ladies there. The staff and some of the regulars made us feel right at home. I will definitely go again..thanks!!!
Good People Good Food – As someone who is pickie and knows what I want the O'Briens Crew always takes care of me. I am proud to call this place my hometown bar!
Everyone is welcome there and the lunch specials are always fresh and yummy!
O and one more thing the night life is exciting!
The "Cheers" of Brandon – I have been a loyal customer at this location for over 5 years, many changes have taken place but somethings will always remain the same- THEY KNOW ME! THEY KNOW WHAT I DRINK! THEY KNOW MY NAME! and best of all, I don't have to WAIT for a drink, EVER!
I love the feel of this bar, it's so friendly, the bartenders and servers are cool, the owners will always stop by to say hello! I recomend this place to everyone I know - Forget the competion, no Green Iguana for me, too many people, its a meat market. O"BRIEN'S Tops them all.
By the way, the Fish and Chips is the best I have ever tasted ! Also try the Steak Special on Friday Nights, AMAZING!
GROSS!!! – This bar is the most unclean and disgusting place I've ever seen! Cocroaches!! I can't understand why anybody would eat here. The insects are ruling the bar. The staff doesn't even seem surprised when one scurries past! So disgusting!
Unsafe place for families – I recently brought my wife and 2 children to this establishment with the hope that I would be able to experience an authentic Irish pub atmosphere and good cuisine. What I witnessed was one of the most shameful and disgusting acts of senseless violence I have ever see. I found out from our server that one of the men involved actually owned the place! Apparently a dispute over a customers bill escalated into an altercation that left a man beaten and his wife/ girlfriend carried out and thrown on the sidewalk. The owner was the assaulter of the poor man and he kept yelling obscenities and had his gorilla bouncer drag the wife outside. I immediately asked for my check, paid my tab, and left. While the service was good and the one male bartender I spoke with was friendly, the violent atmosphere was obviously a drawback. I will never set foot in this establishment again.
Wonderful place to have your wife abused – As a former employee of this brandon area bar i've seen how the three rubes that own this place take advantage of their position to sexually harrass any female that walks through their doors. Apparently "irish hospitality" means they are free to manhandle your wife or girlfriend and then have you escorted off the property if you object. This collection of irish mob-wannabes hide behind their meager charitable works to cover their blatant criminal activities. Ask about their views on overtime and how they refuse to follow government mandated tax laws. Thankfully the Green Iguana franchise has moved into town to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for singles and families alike. We in this area are also really looking forward to the opening of the Brandon Tilted Kilt coming soon on Adamo drive. If you just have to have an irish bar to drink at, the Four Greens establishment or Fox and the Hound are also viable options. Stay away from o'briens. Let's hope that this bar closes and the morons that own it run out of town.
Good local pub – Good place for great wings and cold beer the only down side is that it is a steelers bar. I dont mind that it is a steelers bar but show the local Bucs game on one side of the bar and the steelers on the other. Good mixed crowd most times but you do get your occasional young knuckleheads who want ruin a good time. I can undertsand the bouncer stories for those guys who have to take it overboard and get rowdy. Other than that i would recommend it for 25-30 crowd not for familys though. Ilike this bar and have been going there for years of and on Sean rice knows how to run a local pub, and always gives back to the community.
