Terrible Managemnt – Did you know that 90% of new restaurants fail in their first year? With a manger like Mr Justin Bee, I can assure that the Village Grill will sub come to the same fate.
Last weekend, I joined a half dozen friends to watch some NFL football, and have some food. We all ordered wings, some all drums, some all flats. I ordered mine with all drums, but cooked well done. When the wings arrived, I tasted one of the wings, and immediately told our waitress that the wings were not well done. She said she will reenter the order. All I asked was for the them to cook them longer, and then reapply the sauce. When she attempted to reenter the order, your brilliant manger, Mr. Bee refused to allow her to reenter the order unless I agreed to have half drums and half flats. He did not want his chicken wing ratio to be off!. When I asked for Mr Bee to speak with me, he came to our table, and told me in front of my guests that my wings were cooked fine, and I should just eat them. I WAS APPALLED!
Did Mr. Bee order these wings? Did he cook them? Where they intended for him to eat and pay for them? NO! The answer is NO to all of these questions. How dare him tell a customer "just eat them!" So, if I ordered a steak medium, and it came out medium rare. Am I supposed to just eat it? Who is the customer Mr. Bee, you?
All I can say that a restaurant is dead in the water when word gets around town when management and their food is subpar, which is definitely the case at Village Grill. There are too many other choices for a consumer for a restaurant to tell its cliental that they are right, and what you what has no regard!
Good luck surviving in today's economy with an employee like Mr. Bee running your restaurant. If I were one of your investors, I would be begging to get my money back as decisions made on the spot by a young, and immature man like Mr. Bee will run the Village Grill into the ground!
Good food but a little loud – I love the food and staff are exceptional but it is difficult to have conversation because the acoustics are so bad. I do hope they can address this so we can return. We try to eat outside when weather permits.
