Mexican fast-food chain serves up authentic citrus-marinated chicken and a variety of burritos and pollo bowls. – In Short
This restaurant's first roadside chicken stand opened up in Guasave, Mexico in 1975. A family-inspired recipe of chicken marinated in herbs, spices and citrus juices was an overnight success and the Mexican chain opened its first American location in Los Angeles in 1980. Ever since, customers have been devouring the house specialty--zesty flame-grilled chicken served with tortillas and fresh salsa. Other menu options include pollo bowls (rice and chicken), salads and quesadillas.
Disappointing! – I'm a huge fan of El Pollo Loco in general however I will not be visiting this location again. I ordered a large side of veggies and ate half way through it to find a gigantic half-steamed fly crawl out from under my veggies. I noticed that they leave their doors open to air the restaurant. No doubt that is the source of the problem.
