Had them out to fix my outdoor LYNX Grill. The technician was very familiar with the product and replaced some sort of kit that LYNX had come out with. Nice to finally find a company that knows the products in and out. They left me a sticker and I will use them for anything else that breaks in my house and rentals.

UNfortunately, George's does not have a very good record with answering calls. In this day and age, customers should not be receiving a busy signal. You should be able to at least leave a message. Getting in contact with technicians out in the field is never easy. Not great customer service.
easy to handle – I've had them for service a few times (warranty items and non-warranty items). They came when they said and seemed knowledgeable. I also got parts from them for a repair I was doing. They were easy to work with. They also asked a few questions that showed they were checking for a simpler problem than the expensive one I was expecting, and they were right.
Dishonest and Rude – The negative reviews here are 100% accurate. How has this company managed to stay in business all these years? Try calling and 9 out of 10 times you'll get a busy signal. Why? No call waiting! If you get the answering machine, you're told not to leave a message. Huh? When you finally do get through, they set up an appointment and quote what seems to be a reasonable fee. After coming to your home and doing the work, they hand you a bill for two to three times what was quoted. If you question them, they fly into a rage and claim that you're trying to scam them. If you refuse the pay the inflated charge, they threaten to take your appliance apart and leave. There are lots of honest and reliable service companies -- this is not one of them!
efficient and reasonable – I have had to deal with many service companies over the years fumbling their way through the repair an leaving me high and dry. My experience with george's appliance was completely different. They were friendly, prompt, and their prices were more than fair. the only thing the asked for was make and model and they were able to come prepared to fix on the spot. I highly recommend their service and plan to use them for any future repair
Amazing that these guys are still in business. – I found the bad reviews here to be accurate. Today, I got my own dose of George's Appliance's hilarious customer service. Electrolux matched me up with them to evaluate what's going on with my fridge, which is still under warranty. They told me to call these guys to confirm my appointment,... and that's when the twilight zone episode begins: I get a guy named "Mark" who asked me for the exact purchase date - he didn't ask me what's wrong. Cared more about who was going to pay him. So I said, 'ok, I thought you wanted me to call to confirm my appt. Why are you concerning me with your issues with Electrolux?' Ultimately, the conversation was going nowhere, so I called Electrolux and asked them why they made me call this company, when it was obvious they did not want to serve me. Electrolux contacted George's and got us all on a 3way call. Then things got weirder: Basically, Genius Mark's reasoning is that I should cancel my appt if I think my fridge is doing OK (in other words, I diagnose my own fridge), and continues to threaten that if they come and the fridge seems OK then they'll diagnose it as OK.... and then he brought up his initial worries -- in an argumentative tone-- of how he was going to get paid. There was no talking to this guy. I told the Electrolux agent to have better vendor management because it was totally unacceptable that their vendor was behaving this way in front of their customer. He obviously did not care about my problem, and seemed already resolved on (a) finding nothing, or (b) not even coming. So Genius Mark calls his supervisor (yes, he actually had the nerve to be the one to call his supervisor -- who turned out to be just another monkey). The supermonkey comes on and starts scolding the Electrolux rep. When I said 'hello, I'm still here, and it's your staff who could not be talked to", he turned on me and told me to shut up because he's not talking to me. Then at some point he asked if he could explain the situation, and I said 'Ok but you're on my time. I just want my fridge fixed." Supermonkey then yelled, 'OK, then I can't help you', and hung up. Unbelievable. GEORGE'S APPLIANCES, HERE'S A PIECE OF ADVICE: YOU ARE IN THE SERVICES BUSINESS. GO GET SOME PEOPLE SKILLS AND PROFESSIONALISM IF YOU WISH TO SURVIVE. OTHERWISE, YOU MIGHT AS WELL FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY. GET A CLUE: YOU'RE PICKING UP THE PHONE BECAUSE YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE STUCK IN THE OFFICE NOT SERVICING CUSTOMERS. GO FIGURE.
Am I the customer here? – Called and made an appointment, was told to call back with make of washing machine, when i did the man who answered was arguementative first of all, and then acted like i couldn't get an appointment for a couple of days. i said 'What do you mean? i have an appointment for today!" he said, no you don't...there is nothing set up for you. he had my address and phone number on file but no appointment! i said well how do you have my phone number if i didn't call for an appoinment? rather than be apologetic he said i must be mistaken! "I" was the one who made a mistake!!!! then he said he would try to fit me in but the techs were pretty full today! Business must be pretty good for them to be so unaccomidating to a potential customer!!!!!! They did call back and were able to come at the time i was originally schedule for, but it left a sour taste in my mouth let me tell you!
Georges appliances - Bad customer service – I called to have my dishwasher fixed. The person answering the phone was rude when she picked up the phone then got progressively worse as the conversation continued. I needed a repair man to come to my home to fix my dishwasher, however their "Company policy" required a model number to be provided before booking an appointment. I said fine, however because I was at work, can we book the appointment so the time and date slot was not lost and I would give them the model number tomorrow. The lady went on a rampage! I was being yelled at. I had to ask her to calm down and reminded her that I was the customer here. The technicians are good; however the compani is not flexible with their "policies" nor are their people even close to polite. HORRIBLE customer service. This needs immediate improvement.
Avoid using their services – Bought a new Thermador oven and Georges is 1 of 2 authorized repair shops in the area. When our oven door fell off we called Georges to come out to repair it. They came out and repaired it but they used the wrong part so we called them again and they came out again and agreed it was the wrong part. They told us that they had to order the right part and they said they did. We waited over 6 weeks with nothing from them so we called and they said that the part was not in. We waited another 2 weeks and called again and this is when they told us that the part was on back order and not available until July. We were shocked that we had to keep calling them and that they finally told us that the part was on backorder. So we actually found a parts provider in Dallas TX who had 3 of the parts. Since this was a warranty item they suggested Georges call to order the part. We called Georges back and told them the good news and they refused to call the parts provider and actually suggested we contact another service provider because they didn't want to help any longer. So I had to order the part myself and pay for it myself and now I need to find someone to install it.
