Stay away from, they are not honest with thier contractors that assist with hard wood flooring / sanding. They are not honest, don't pay after job is done, don't give jobs promised if they can get a discounted rate for "help" with another job. High turnover with installers due to dishonest acts.
I wouldn't buy a soda from these clowns. I went to the Jefferson road store and the clown that waited on me had no clue what she was doing. She had a miniskirt on and high boots, Very very unprofessional. Not to mention I had to walk through 2 guys smoking right in front of the door, and they were sales people. They are managed and run by idiots, their prices and serve are the worse in the industry. I would never walk into that mess of a store again. A bunch of untrained idiots
Really disappointed – We wanted to replace our kitchen floor. The showroom is nice and the sales person was fine. The issues begin once you purchase... customer service has been horrible. From what I can tell, all the branches use the same center for install/service. The installers they sent out were terrible, messy, no booties (left footprints across our carpet), made no attempt to warn us or cover anything... HUGE mess. OK - we cleaned it up. The worst part was that they installed it incorrectly. After they came out again to try and fix it, and failed, I asked to have someone else sent out. That person was professional and quickly saw the huge flaw. No one ever called us to follow up once this problem was identified. It took me a week of calling to finally be told they would replace the floor. They said a couple more weeks to order. Three weeks later I hadn't heard. Called again. The floor is out of stock.... it'll be in in a couple weeks. I wait. No one calls. I call again - still not here. Might be a few more weeks...not sure. I am beyond frustrated and, frankly, don't know if I'm even being told the truth. Looks like there have been plenty of complaints on the BBB website. I will be logging one there as well soon. Sure hope they complete the job... half my frustration would be eased if I felt like anyone was on top of the problem. If they had even called me once to apologize and let me know they hadn't forgotten and explained the problem with it being out of stock. Grr. I have small children. Living through an install like that once was hard enough... to have to do it twice PLUS the headache of all this and waiting months to have it completed... The girls who handle the service calls must be swamped because they NEVER call me back even when they promise to do so. I was willing to over-pay at R L and Carpet One assuming they would do a great job. Now I've over-payed for a nightmare. Will not be a customer of theirs again. You have been warned!
Rochester Linoleum & Carpet - HORRIBLE! – Apparently the Rochester Linoleum & Carpet (at least the one in Webster) hires independent contractors to install the carpets and floors they sell by somehow consigning these jobs to them.
The vinyl flooring was scheduled to arrive and be installed first. This was so the installers would not be tracking all over new carpet. The vinyl however, did not show up when it was supposed to, so the carpet and laminate went in first. No problems with the laminate, however the guy that came to install the carpet did a horrible job! Carpet was not tacked down in certain areas (didnt even install tacking strips). The installer not only scratched up our baseboards and moulding, but caused damage (gouges) in several areas of the baseboards and moulding and also scratched up the paint on various parts of the wall. The gouges had to be filled with wood putty and then reprimed and repainted. There was damage to walls that extended up to 5 feet from the floor in certain areas, well out of expected range of carpet installation - obviously carelessness. While installing carpet the guy kicked up a piece of brand new laminate that had been installed the day before. His solution: drive a nail into it to nail it down and don't mention it to the home owners... I had to repaint the baseboards and several walls after the carpet went in, as well as repair several gouges.
Finally the vinyl flooring arrived. The vinyl was installed in a small foyer just inside my side door and on the steps leading down into the basement. The installers somehow ripped the wires from the house's alarm system out from the wall and left about 2 feet of wire dangling from the floor... now my side door is off line according to the alarm panel. They left that without notifying the home owner. Additionally, the vinyl installers did not bring the floors flush to the walls and edges, in some cases as much as a 1/4 inch of seperation leaving the subfloor exposed. In some cases the installers used some type of sticky brown caulk to hide the gap between the edge of the flooring and the wall/or step. The caulk is visible and sticky and looks horendous! The floors began to bubble up the next day. They did so much damage to the paint on the walls that the walls from floor to about 3 feet up need to be totally repainted. Not just scratches either... divits and gouges that will need to be filled. The gouges were most like from their tool belts and other items hitting the walls. They reported none of this damage to my wife, who was home at the time. When they were finished, two guys hopped into their car and the third guy yelled to my wife that they were finished. My wife began to examine their work and brought up some of the damage that she began to find. He left quickly and would not address any of her concerns other than to say that the walls would have to be touched up. They left all the garbage and debris on my driveway, completely blocking my garage door. They never cleaned or vacuumed and left a mess at the bottom of of the stairs for my wife to sweep up and carry out.
I spoke to the service manager the afternoon that they left. He was less than hospitable and lacked the customer service-like tone I needed to hear, leaving me worried that I was out of luck. They are sending someone out in a few days to assess all of the damage to my house. Whether they make good, whether they make partially good, or whether this will end up being the worst home inmprovement experience of my life remains to be seen, however I can say now for certain, that my house rennovations should be completed, all of my furniture should be moved back, and I should be sitting in a newly rennovated home, looking at it and smiling as I sip a hot cup of coffee and feeling proud, however I am doing just the opposite. These guys are horrible and if you choose to ignore this review and hire them anyway, just remember I told you so...
Love the Place!~ – Rochester Linoleum Carpet One offers a large selection of carpet and flooring. You can purchase quality carpet and padding by the square foot. They have remnants for sale for dirt cheap if you have a small area to carpet. They also have tile, linoleum and wood flooring for sale. They offer installation services for a reasonable price based on square footage also. The staff and installers are very nice
A Big Reccomendation – RLCO's carpet installs were fine. The gentlemen who did the install were professional, helpful and cheerful. I would recommend their carpet install
Way Better than the Competition – I got new carpet for my whole upstairs, the guys doing the instulation are very fast and timely, but when they came in with the new carpet it was the wrong color. They kept in contact very well throughout the process of fixing the mistake which was caused by the warehouse mislabeling the roll. I am very pleased with the outcome and they compensated me faily for the inconvenience. Also I gotta say the sailsman was way better than sail on carpet.
Impressed – The installers were terrific. They arrived on time to the minute, moved heavy furniture expertly, vacuumed and swept up any mess. The carpet looks great and the price was what I wanted to spend. They are so professional and nice I would gladly give them five stars

Worst Customer Service Ever – Needed a carpet for kids' room, but it needed to be cut in a certain way. We drew a diagram of exactly what we needed. When they transcribed the drawing, they did it wrong, so the carpet wasn't cut correctly. Their "professional" service guy finally came out days after we kept calling. He said we drew it wrong; we said you transcribed the drawing wrong. Well, here we are 3 weeks later; they never returned phone calls. Finally, after days of calling, someone finally told us that there was nothing they could do. So, here we are, hundreds of dollars later, with a carpet that's cut wrong; of course, they did offer to cut even more of it off, so now it will be too small for the room. Absolute worst buying/customer service experience ever. We are thinking of taking them to small claims court just for the principle of it. A rating of 1 star is too high.
