Great Escape! – This was an amazing stay! They were very helpful in our unique requests and the spa was amazing. Oh, if you have a chance, make sure to try the Sunday Brunch...woah! The best I have ever had and should be on the "bucket list" when you stay there.

A Resort Destination only 30 minutes away! – I left my weekend vacation speechless and still in awe from an amazing weekend. I have travelled all over the world and it was nice to be able to go to a resort without having to fly.

Read Before Booking – I had been staying at the Stein Eriksen Lodge for over 5 years during the New Year's Even season. Every year I book the hotel in January and pay in full in July to secure my spot. I also follow up with the hotel every month to ensure I get a specific room. Even after all this effort and guarantees I received, I was informed upon arrival my room was given away. Another guest was not satisfied with his/her room and the manager on duty gave that guest our room. We were first told that the guest had a guarantee on a room type that was not available so the Lodge gave the guest our room. Upon talking to several managers including the General Manager, we were told that the Lodge does not guarantee any room type, which just contradicted everything we had been told before. They will not guarantee any type of room no matter how much you book or pay in advance. We were told several different stories on what happened before our arrival but not once did anyone in management admit guilt. Instead, they all blamed it on the reservationist saying she had no right to guarantee anything, which I thought was comical since the person who took our room was "guaranteed" a specific type of room.

In conclusion, I would be very cautious about staying here and I have decided after shelling out a lot of money every year and being courteous to the Lodge's staff, I was not respected and will not be returning next year.

Fabulous takes on new meaning at this plushest of spas in the equally upscale resort. – The Scene
Situated in the hills above Park City, this posh mountain retreat looks like it belongs in the Swiss Alps, not the Rocky Mountains. The facilities are so luxurious that just spending time in the waiting lounge can be therapeutic. Anyone fond of napping will appreciate the two beds tucked away in secluded nooks. Less sleepy patrons can drink healthful tonics and browse through the book selection. Treatment rooms are equally wonderful.

The Services
The spa's unique objective is to counter the effects of high altitude. Because Utah's sun wreaks havoc on the skin, the spa offers a wide variety of facials, hand-and-foot therapies and body-polishing treatments. If you're serious about skin care, give the award-winning Four-Layer Anti-Aging facial a try. Men should consider the Gentlemen's Skin Conditioning Treatment. Traditional massage therapies and spa treatments are also available. Whatever you choose, you'll be treated like royalty.

The Details
Whirlpool, steam room, sauna, Pilates, yoga. Massage, body treatments, acupuncture, facials, hair removal, manicures/pedicures, makeup application.

Nice Rooms and Suites – Very luxurious rooms and excellent service, but suites at The Canyons are comparable and not quite as expensive. The Deer Valley Difference made all the difference though.

Stunning Views Abound – The Stein Eriksen Lodge offers ski enthusiasts and lodge dwellers something to write home about. The Lodge itself is very large with fine dining and a large lobby to sit down and read a book on a snowy evening.
