Rude and Charge Too Much – These people seemed very snotty on the phone and gave me an estimate of $650 minimum. It sounded like they didn't want to bother coming out to check out the problem,
Customer Service is not good – We were referred to Hartshorn by Frigidaire as an authorized factory repair service. Our new front loader was working perfectly, but we had issues with mildew and also an intermittant noise during the spin cycle. The repairperson came out yesterday and looked at our washer. Last night, when I tried to wash some clothes, the water didn't completely drain during the rinse cycle --leaving the clothes sopping wet -- too wet to put in the dryer. Never had a problem like this prior to the service call. Obviously, something the service did touched off this problem. When I called Hartsforn this morning -- I was told I would have to wait until Monday for them to come out and fix the problem. This problem was obviously a result of something the repairperson accidentally did during the course of the service call. Very poor customer service and no manager to complain to since this is a family-run business. You're just stuck if there's a problem.
Excellent Service – I thought I knew what the problem was with my refrigerator. I was given an estimate of $250.00 over the phone. The repair man from Harshorn came out and diagnosed the problems and handed me a bill for $95.00 for parts and labor. I was very relieved that the bill was not greater than the quote. Two days after the service call I thought the regrigerator was still not quite right, so I called and asked for the repair man to come back. He came back that same day and checked out the refrigerator again. The problem this time was not the refrigerator, but the store bought thermometer and the location I had put it in. I bought a new thermometer from Hartshorn for $15.00. There was no charge for the second visit. For less than half of the original estimate, my refrigerator is working properly. The service was prompt, friendly, honest, reasonably priced, and they made sure the problem was fixed. I will call Hartshorn the next time my appliances need service.
Their Service dept if great! – I have had John from their service department out to 3 different residences over the last 5-6 years. He serviced 3 different models of dishwashers, a dryer, and 2 different washing machines.
The previous poster possibly wanted something for nothing. A service call even if there is not a possible resolution, still costs money.
Avoid doing business with!!! – Price gougers! Charge $40.00 to come out. The fee is waived but repairs are $150.00 minimum. You either end up paying them the $ 40.00 and starting all over to find a reputable company.
I needed a fuse replaced on my dryer. It took 15-20 minutes to replace. The fuse cost $16.00. I was billed $155.24. Ridiculous.
