Try having your employees at east sound like they care.

I purchased a vehicle at SanTan VW in 2011. I tried cancelling some warranties in February. It's April and it finally got done. The worst part was trying to call these people. I was transferred to voice mails. I left messages and no calls were returned. I was transferred to finance and everyone seemed to want to transfer the call to someone else. I spoke with a guy in finance today and was trying to get something in writing that these warranties were cancelled and he hung up on me. Highly unprofessional. He also kept saying he'll pass the message along. No one seems accountable. Of these 10+ times that I've called in the past couple months, only one phone call was returned. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It's virtually impossible to speak with the director of finance. The only reason I want to speak with the director of finance is because it's fairly obvious, no one below him can get anything done.

I would NOT RECOMMEND SanTan VW.

I was still a customer in the service department to get my Jetta serviced and soon for a newer Tiguan that I just purchased but I won't even go there for service now. I'll gladly drive the extra mile to give someone else my business. It's an absolute headache working with the people at SanTan VW. I'd rather go to a place where I don't get the runaround.

Horrible experience! Bought a "Certified Pre-owned" car, brought it home and found it had been wrecked. Owner of dealer denied it and refused to look at the physical evidence. Owner stated he would not sell a wrecked car and would have sent it back through the auction. When I requested he give me back my trade and take the car back, he stated (and smirked) "I'm in the business of selling cars not taking them back". Owner had no intentions of helping me, came in with an attitude when he introduced himself. When I raised my voice and requested he physically look at the car, he refused, and used it as an excuse to leave and refused to listen anymore. Sorry, but if you screw me out of thousands of dollars don't expect me to be happy, own up to your screw-up, grow a thicker skin, and make it right! The only helpful one was the finance manager who looked at the car and acknowledged the fact that it had been wrecked, but it was out of his hands. Just beware before you buy a so called certified used car from this dealer. I hope for any future customers this was an isolated incident and they won't have to go through the nightmare I'm going through.

USED CAR BUYERS BEWARE!

While looking for a used car, I found the one I wanted at San Tan Volkswagen. During the buying process, there was so much emphasis put on the importance of buying a used car from a dealership versus a private sale due to the fact that â??by law, they cannot sell an unsafe car off of their lot, so they have extensive inspections that they put the car through that you wonâ??t get from a private sale.â?? It was the primary reason I opted to pay the extra fees and buy from a dealership.

Less than 90 days after purchasing my used car, I take it in for its 3000 mile oil change. Upon their inspection of the car, they find a BROKEN ENGINE MOUNT. It wasn't just cracked, oh no, it was busted all the way through, to the point where, upon applying the break, they showed me how the engine literally moved 3-4 inches. Such movement could be of extreme danger! My mechanic started to explain to me the concerns of buying used vehicles through a private sale, when I corrected him saying I bought it from San Tan Volkswagen! He gasped and said "This car should have never been sold by a dealership without this being repaired." I even asked if it was possible it had broken since Iâ??ve owned the car and he said â??absolutely not, this has been busted for far longer than 3000 miles.â?? So I sent an email to the Customer Relations Manager to explain my frustrations and concerns with their so-called SAFETY INSPECTION.

When she calls me back, all she has to offer me is to bring the car into their service department where they will perform the work for only cost of the parts. HA! I'm sorry, but after your service department passed my car through the 'safety inspection', that's the LAST place I want to take it! Besides, I was so concerned with how much movement the engine experienced when the brakes were applied that I wanted it fixed immediately, so my mechanic had already done the work.

But it was her explanation of what is considered their "wholesale to the public, as is, safety inspection" that has really got me disgusted with San Tan Volkswagen. BUYERS BEWARE! Her words to me were "IF IT STARTS, STOPS AND GOES, AND WILL NOT LEAVE YOU STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, IT PASSES OUR SAFETY INSPECTION."

Wow!

I wish I had gone to CarMax instead...

Company sends out "sham" promotional mailers. When you arrive at the front desk, you are told that they are "out " of the prizes and the prize board has been taken down, despite two weeks being left for entries. How can you be out of Target gift cards? They claimed the odds were 1 of 1 in winning that item. The other items were similarly unavailable. If you can't trust this shop on a simple promise, how can you trust your car for service to them or purchase a vehicle from them?

I would go elsewhere, where you would be honorably treated.

Company ultimately sent me the Target card after some back and forth call and emails.
