Must be a fluke – I purchased an entire kitchen from Barry's before Thanksgiving and just had it delivered. EVERYTHING WENT GREAT!!! My salesman (Jason) not only answered every question that my wife and I had about the appliances, but gave recommendations on what we should consider based on our needs. The pricing was great from the beginning. We called a couple of other stores after getting our list from Barry's and their numbers were better from the start. When we called to finally schedule delivery there were no issues with the date we wanted. The two delivery men were very curteous, unpacked everything outside and took all of the mess with them. As far as I'm concerned, I would recommend them to everyone including mom. "Knock on wood" that we will not need service for a long time, but I am confident we made the right choice.
They dont get it – Appliance stores as well as the big chains sell all the same stuff. The difference is the customer experience, since they all price match anyway. Barry's doesnt get it! They delivered my fridge and put a 3"x6" hole in my wall. 2 weeks later, 4 phone calls not returned and even a promise for a guy to fix it one afternoon who never showed up, the wall remains destroyed. Avoid this place at all costs. Other places get it and will get my business. Oh yeah, I am building a new kitchen. Guess you missed out on about $6000 of appliances!

BARRY'S IS THE BEST!! – I've been buying my appliances from Barry's for the past 12 years, and have always been treated great. The sales staff is courteous, educated and friendly. My most recent purchase was a 60" samsung LED TV, and a Miele dishwasher. First of all, the salesman took his time to educate me. Secondly, he beat the pricing that I had by a few hundred dollars, then, they delivered and installed it NEXT DAY! You can't ask for better service, and this is why I keep going back, and recommend them to all of my friends and family.
Wonderful Experience – I am a young woman who has recently purchased my first house along with my husband. We have a limited knowledge when it comes to appliances and didn't know what to expect when we had to pick out a kitchen. A salesman at Barry's took any worries we may have had out of the situation. Not only were they friendly and listened to all of our crazy concerns, questions and hypothetical situations, but they went out of their way and explained everything so we were better able to understand what is important to us and what would be the best fit for us.
I understand that at times things happen to go wrong and things don't work out like we expect them to, so that's what I assume has happened for anyone who has anything negitive to say about Barry's.
As a matter of fact, Barry himself called the builder of our condo to double check that all the measurements were right and our picks were a good choice.
A big thank you to everyone at Barry's who helped to make our kitchen my favorite room of the house!
I'll be back soon for a new TV! And I can't wait!
The worst sales experience EVER – I went there to buy a bbq and was told it would be delivered ASAP....little did I know that ASAP in there mind was several weeks. When I called to inquire I was told they would deliver it when it came in and it was a black and white issue....so I should simply wait. When the owner called me to tell me it would be in whenever it was, he did not want to even listen to my concerns or acknowledge that they were misleading at all.....even though I had told the salesman I needed it that week. The owner actually hung up on me after telling me they did nothing wrong. I've been in sales for over 20 years and am shocked that this guy is still in business. Oh by the way.....it was a $1000 grill and I walked in off the street and bought it in 5 minutes...in this economy, you would think that would be desirable from a store's viewpoint.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS GUY...He is the worst !!!!!
Don't DO IT – We purchased a whirlpool Duet 9600 series washer. We purchased the Washer/Dryer Set and were promised many rebates. WWe submitted all necessary information and got maybe 1/2 of what we were promised by the fast talking salesman. Then the Kicker- The NEW washer breaks with a faulty Analog pressure sensor in less than one Year. We called whirlpool and the part is backordered for unknown amount of time. OVER 500 people need this part NOW. We have been without a washer for over a month and have to bring our laundry to the laundromat every week- about 10 loads. NO HELP FROM BARRY and getting the run around from Whirlpool. We are demanding a new washer

Good Advice from a returned shopper – My most recent purchase, a dishwasher, was the 4th appliance that I've bought at Barry's over the past 15+ years. Whenever I need a new appliance, I always shop around for the best deal and always end up at Barry's. Service is always wonderful (even the guys who come to install are charming). Anyone who has had a bad experience, I'm sure it was just a fluke.
Horrible experience – Walked in to buy 4 appliances and was assigned a junior salesman who knew little at best. The "senior" guy who helped price us out priced out the wrong fridge and charged us an extra 400 after they delivered something we clearly didn't want (a fridge with no water or ice even though the selling point of the whole thing was that the water dispenser was internal and not in the door.) When the correct fridge came in it was missing the stainless steel panel on the side. That was 5 months ago and we still don't have the panel or an ETA for its arrival. Barry himself hasn't returned three requests to call me. Just very disappointing all around. Better service probably could have been found at Wal-Mart or the dollar store. Oh, I should have known when we walked in and another couple was having issues b/c Barry sold them appliances that didn't fit even though a store rep went to their house prior and took measurements... I'll never go back and don't recommend to anyone else.
