HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! FILE A COMPLAINT!.
HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
Before I get to my own review, I want everyone to know that this UPS Store will face the consequences of its horrible customer service--IF enough complaints are filed with the store's parent company, MVE. Please, file your complaint by calling MVE at 1-888-346-3623. They need to know that they have an awful person representing UPS, and the only way they'll find out is if you file a complaint with them, and not just on this site.
I have only been to this UPS Store a few times to drop off a package, but after today, I will NEVER go there again. The representative working there--an older, African-American woman (who is the owner's wife, I found out)--is one of the most unprofessional, condescending, and completely impolite "customer service" representatives I have ever encountered. She should NOT be working with customers because she has absolutely no sense of what courteous or professional behavior is. I was so upset with my experience in the store that I didn't even leave my packages with her--frankly, I don't trust her. At all. And I was upset enough to not only create an account to be able to post this review, but I also contacted that UPS Store's parent company--and I encourage all of you with a negative review to do the same. I was told by a MVE (the parent company) representative that if enough complaints are lodged against the store, they will indeed take legal action.
THE UPS STORE WILL BE SENT A LEGAL NOTIFICATION IF ENOUGH COMPLAINTS ARE FILED WITH THEIR PARENT COMPANY, MVE. PLEASE FILE ALL COMPLAINTS BY CALLING MVE AT 1-888-346-3623
Stay Away!!!!. This was the worst retail experience I have ever had!!! I arrived at 9 am and the store was not open (although it was supposed to be open at 8). I went back in the afternoon with my package and printed postage and the clerk told me it would be $0.50 to tape it to my package. I explained that I only had a credit card. She said they only took credit cards for over $5 and to go to an ATM. I explained that I was in a hurry to catch my train and that in Seattle they had plastic sleeves to put the postage sheet in - so I didn't know to tape it, but would be sure to do so in the future if she could please just send it for me. She refused. I asked to speak with the manager, and she rudely retorted that she was the manager. I politely asked her name, and she flat out refused, called me stupid, and told me to get out of the store or she would call the police. I stood there in shock, while she insulted me more. I eventually retorted in a less than polite way (which I regret), and she and two other employees followed me out of the store screaming insults at me (standing just a foot away from me) while I waited at the corner for the light to change. This is nothing short of intimidation and close to assault. I called corporate (1-888-346-3623) and lodged my complaint. I am still in shock over the manner in which I was treated. This lady (and the other employees for that matter) have no business in retail.
