You will never be disappointed in their red chile, but watch out because it is HOT. The staff are very friendly and attentive, which tends to be a rarity in this city.
One of the few places that is open late on Sunday night in ABQ - it was open until 9:30.
Fun atmosphere, an amusing server, and pretty decent food make this a great place, especially to hang out with friends.
Husband and I traveling across country from Virginia Beach, VA to San Fran, CA and stopped here for dinner. ABSOLUTELY GREAT!! Couldn't ask for any more! Service was excellent! We sat in the bar area which was really quiet and comfy! Food was awesome and the drinks were delishh!! Definitely check it out!
I have lived in ABQ for a year and never tried this place. Then I had back-to-back business lunches here. The food was enjoyable. Solid New Mexican food that I would put on par with La Salita (with a little more formal atmosphere).
I had the enchiladas with red sauce which had plenty of flavor. I would recommend these if you like spicy food. All the entres come with sopapillas. Make sure to ask for honey with yours. The prices were a little on the high side, but I was satisfied with what I got.
This is the best New Mexican food in Albuquerque. They actually know how to make red chile and their green is seasoned just right. Everything they make is top notch and their salsa is to die for. Their stuffed sopapilla is the best. You will love their tamales...just like grandma used to make. If you want the best food in town, this is the place.
Love Cervantes! The Carne Adobada Enchilada was amazing, the meat tender, flavorful and delicious. I like both the red and green chile but thought the red was best. It was spicy and I wish I could have some now as I write this.
Cervantes is seriously the best New Mexican food in town. I come from a long line of New Mexicans and we all agree. You will never be disappointed in their red chile, but watch out because it is HOT. The staff are very friendly and attentive, which tends to be a rarity in this city.
Awesome green chile and great New Mexican food. Highly recommended!
