NIce, Big and Interesting – I've been here one time alredy, and went again last week. Both times i was satisfied with the results. This place is very nice, and the employees really try to make you comfortable, and they are also conversational. The person at the front desk is friendly, and he jokes around a lot, and you can tell that he really tries to make all the customers happy and comfortable. When i went in there last week, right when i got in, they asked me what i needed, and offered to put up my coat, even though most of them wer busy. I cut my hair a little bit shorter, and they did it carefully, and it eneded up the way i asked them to. I also got a waxing for my eyebrows, and it was the best one i ever got, and also the cheapest one! I also looked at their catalog, and found that all of their service prices wer cheaper then other places, but they ended up looking professional and beautiful. This place shows that they really want to help you look your best, at a lower price, and also they really want to satisfy you. I also read LOVEYOU's review, and none of those things happened to me. THey were all very nice, and the manager was probably trying to make you feel better. Even though some of them are foreign and don't speak english well, they still try really hard, and do thier best work every time. Overall, i thought that this place had hard-working people that are also friendly, and the results end very nicely, with lower prices.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! – Yesterday I went to Saigon Hair Salon and Nail shop. It was a big place. The manager was very disrespectful and rude. Very typical no educational background and no class type of guy. The employees were not friendly to their customers. They were talking bad things about customers. Do you know why I knew about it? They thought I was Thai or Philippina, they did not expect I am Vietnamesse just like them. They were talking about me. The guy who did my manicure and pedicure, he accidently cut my thumb and it was bleeding. I called the manager guy came over and showed it to him. He tried to prevent the bleeding. He claimed himself as a Nail Doctor. What's a pathetic low life Vietnamese guy? He did not know that I work in Medical field and they have no clue that I am Vietnamese. I noticed that their nail equipments were not even sterile. Since i got cut, I was worry about the infection since they used the same equipments from one customer to another. I hope the Health Department in New Mexico should go to their shop and have an inspection. After my manicure got dry, I paid $42, $35 for both manicure and pedicure and $7 for tip. The manager asked me to give more money because New Mexico required taxes. I gave him $2 more dollar. Then he asked me how come I don't give him tip. I told him, you did not do my nail. I only gave to the guy who did my nail. He is a greedy jerk by looking at his facial structure. I was about to speak in Vietnamese to him, but then I just ignore it. It is not worth it for me to talk with those low life Vietnamese nail people. I would never recommen anybody come to this shop. All they speak is Vietnamese and pretending to be friendly to the customers. They also trying to make money from customers too. If you are non native Vietnamese, you go to this shop, watch out, they will talk bad things about you. They did not do a good job either.

Cheerful Place, Must Visit – I came to Saigon Beauty during the weekend to get a hilite and a pedicure. The front desk was friendly and asked me for a drink and set me on a spa chair right away. It felt like home, everyone kept asking to make sure I'm happy. The hilite came out great. My hair was really dark, and I wanted it blonde. It came out great. They used all the professional products, including Goldwell(which is really expensive). For all the finishing products, they had Pureology, Sebastian, you name it and they have it. To sum up the place, it was cheap, but professional, and a friendly enviroment.I absolutely love it! I highly recommend this place.

Pretty decent for price – I work near the business, so it's really convenient and nice to head over during lunch and even right after work. It's a pretty decent place for the price. I'm Native American with long & thick hair, so when I go to JC Penny, Mastercuts, or something else, I am never satisfied and I pay more than $50. At Saigon I can get a good cut for $30! I also love the eyebrow waxing service, they are quick and know how to shape :) for cheap. It's definitely not Aveda Salon but with the prices you shouldn't be expecting that.

AVOID!!!! – I'm giving Saigon Beauty one star for one reason: Lynn gives pretty good, very cheap haircuts to kids. She's really great, but the rest of the place is horrifying. Their colors are so sloppy! I saw one poor woman with dye all over her forehead, neck, ears and shoulders. Once I saw the colorist drop a blob of color on his tray and he picked it up and put it on the lady's head -- yuck!!! Once when Lynn was busy I tried a different haircutter. He yanked on my son's head so hard he made my son cry. I asked if he could use conditioner to help and he started yelling at me that it was my fault. Needless to say, I never let my kids go to anyone but Lynn after that. I used to get my pedicures here but since they introduced their special spa pedicure with a paraffin dip the hard-sell tactics have become obnoxious. I had to refuse the add-ons 4 times during one pedicure! I feel sorry for the nail staff; I'm sure they are just following management's orders, but this place is just unpleasant, unprofessional, and untalented. I will not be coming back, even for Lynn.

Great Place – I love Saigon Beauty!!! It is a great place to do both hair and nails. The staff is great. The waxing team is wonderful. My nails came out very beautiful. My haircut is the best I've ever seen. I am very pleased and satisfied. I will certainly come again.

Do not let them cut or color your hair! – I love how they do my nails, they look beautiful and professional. However, I would not recommend getting your hair done here. They gave me the worst haircut I have ever had. I left the store in tears and with a mullet. The time before that, they gave me some really bad highlights that left my hair damaged and looked really bad and embarrassing. I warned my mother-in-law not to get her hair done there but she went there to get her hair died dark brown and ended up with jet black hair that looked horrendous on her. She left the salon ready to kill somebody. My sister-in-law heard what had happened to both of us and mentioned that she too had once had her hair done there and left in tears because they gave her some really bad highlights and a haircut that left her embarrassed for months. I honestly would not recommend this place for cuts or coloring. As traumatized as I am for them ruining my hair, I will say that as long as you resist the urge to let them cut your hair a stop there to get your nails done will leave you satisfied.

DONT GO THERE – I have always gone there to see tommy. However when he was busy they push you onto someone else. Horrible the guy fried my hair. When he was rinsing my hair he starting giving me a deep conditioning treatment No wonder!!!!!! My highlights were fried. Thank god my husband was there to say oh my god he is brushing out all your hair. As I turned around clumps of my hair were hanging. He immediatly pushed me back and would not let me see. I cried and the owner gave me a baggy of 4 little trial products...WOW!!!>>right ? I still paid but only what he asked for not a penny less. I am on honest person that is why I paid, but I shouldn't have had too. I had to come home today and start chopping my hair away. If you go Only let TOMMY WORK ON YOUR HAIR

good place – I've been a customer at Saigon for nearly ten years going back to their original location on Louisiana. Always great service by friendly, skilled staff. The new salon on Zuni is clean, comfortable, well equipped. Highly recommended.
