Reviews for Northview Animal Hospital

I can't Thank the Northview Team enough for the hard work and caring they provided to my pets, in particular Lucky. I just recently lost "Lucky" my 13 yr old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier to complications of cancer. As a Navy Man, Lucky and I ran everyday and night and enjoyed life to it's fullest. The "Outstanding" Clinical Care provided by the Northview Team in Particular Dr. Pauly and Dr. Romero allowed Lucky to live a long and wonderful life.

From the administrative Team in the front to the Tech's and Doctors, Thank You for your Loving and Caring of our "Four Legged Companions" that travel the roads of life with us.

Respectfully

Chappy, United States Navy

There's usually a wait, but it's because the clinic is so popular. Drs. Romero and Helper have both worked with my dogs, and have been brilliant. I'd had a bad experience with Petroglyph, where my dog was treated as a cash cow, so will happily take the extra time to travel from Rio Rancho to have my pups looked after so well at Northview.

The best in town! – I stumbled upon this and signed up just to respond! I have had dogs my entire life and Dr. Helper is the best Doc in town. That could be why you had a 7 minute wait. You might have been accidentally disconnected too. IT is your pets loss, not yours not to see Dr. Helper. I have had him take care of my animals for about 17 years now, I was frantic once home alone with my 125 lb sheepdog who was suddenly able to walk. DR. HELPER DROVE TO MY HOUSE! Enough said. Hope you find another vet who would be even willing to consider doing that for you. Ronni Lamirata.

Compassionate and SKilled – Northview Animal Hospital was started many years ago by Dr. Helper. It has remained in it's current location just off of Wyoming Blvd north of Paseo del Norte as long as my family has used his services.

We started with Dr. Helper and Northview around 1992 or so. (I do not remember the exact date.) He has helped us keep two animal companions healthy in that time. We have gone through the regular check-ups, dental cleanings, surgery for torn ligaments, hydration in times of kidney failure, and the passing of our dogs with Dr. Helper and his staff.

The most recent poster is upset about a 7 minute wait on the phone on a Friday/Saturday morning. Dr. Helper has grown in popularity in this part of the city and these are some of the busiest days at Northview. Lack of awareness of that fact is probably why the poster is upset. S/he should know that Dr. Helper and all the other vets, vet assistants, kennel care works, and secretarial staff give their all to their animal patients and the families they serve. That takes time for each person. If the call is not urgent, I recommend calling the clinic on a Thursday around noon if all one wants is a rapidly answered phone. [I called this past Monday, at 10:00 am for a new pet check. The phone was answered immediately and kindly. I was able to make an appointment for our new pet, for tomorrow.]

I do not work for Northview, have never worked for Northview, and wouldn't have the slightest idea about how to go about working for Northview, but I do understand the care they give. Our last dog became very sick and had to be put to sleep on a Saturday. Everyone on staff, including the front office people, Dr. Romero and a kind vet tech (whose name I personally failed to remember) stayed a little later that day, so we could transition our beloved pet in a dignified manner with all the time we needed.

If the previous poster determines that s/he is going to "shop around for a new vet," it would be that poster's loss.

Hope This Gets Better... – I am a potential new client at this clinic. During the 7 MINUTES I was on hold (before they hung up on me, by the way...) I read the reviews complaining about the long hold times and rude office staff. They're accurate...When I called back and said 'Hi. I was on hold to make an appointment but was hung up on.', the snotty woman on the other end said 'We didnt hang up on you but what kind of appointment do you want?' I'm going to keep the appointment, but I really hope this gets better on my visit....or I'll be shopping for a new vet!

Best Veterinarians in Albuquerque – I used to work at Northview for over 6 years. After that time of venturing on in my life. I have come to realize there are ABSOLUTELY NO other vets in town that I would recommend. I have seen these doctors while working with them and also as a client and they are truly the best!! I ALWAYS recommend them to anyone who might need a compassionate, not overpriced, and very well educated Veterinarian. ANY of the doctors there are great! They get a little busy but will never make you feel like you have wasted your or your pets time. The prices are exceptionally reasonable and they WILL NOT rip you off.. You get exceptional care throughout your pets procedures and they will address his/her needs. Like I said, I have not been at Northview as an employee for over 2 years now but I am defiantly a for life client (as long as they will have me :)

Amazing Animal Hospital – We recently had to put our beloved Golden Retriever to sleep. Northview Animal Hospital was there every step of the way with us. They were incredibly caring and compassionate. There were even tears from the staff. We truly knew we were not alone in our greiving.

We have used this office for over ten years now and have always been extremely happy with the different vets and the staff.

I can't say thank you enough to them for always being there for us. I highly recommend them.

Really impressed so far – We recently found out our vet of 6 years had retired (he didn't even notify us) and asked around for recommendations for vets from our friends. Our neighbor couldn't say enough good things about Dr. Romero at Northview, and she was absolutely right. She has seen both of our dogs for general checkups, and she took a lot of time to discuss their issues with me and how we could address them. And Northview is considerably cheaper than where we were previously going (a VCA branch). I feel really lucky that we have great vets so close to where we live and that we found a great fit with Dr. Romero so quickly.

Great vets! – We have been using Northview for about 14 years...have worked with almost all the drs at one time or another for my Rhodesian Ridgebacks...Have always found staff to be thoughtful, compassionate, and kind. The front desk situation seems to have improved lately though as all offices, I'm sure they have good days and bad

Great Vet! – I have been with Dr. Helper since the early 1990s (if not earlier) and would not even consider going to another veterinarian in Albuquerque! I am, admittedly, absolutely crazy in love with my dogs and cat and would probably be hard to please, but Dr. Helper and associates have always gone out of their way to do everything they possibly could to help. They have always treated my pets as if they were their own and, even when we've had to put one of our beloved, 4-legged family members to sleep, we have been shown nothing but extreme love and compassion. I never feel rushed and appreciate being able to ask all the questions I need to ask and know that I get honest, professional answers.

I invite anyone who feels that Dr. Helper's costs are unreasonably high to check out other vets; I think they'll find that he is lower than almost anyone else, especially any of the corporate veterinary practices. I am one who would pay almost anything to get the best possible treatment for my pets. At Northview, I don't have to pay enormous rates, yet I feel I get the very best service!

Thank you to Dr. Helper and his staff!
